Wow, it'll be just like the '04 Lakers!

Yeah, and if we can just bring back LB we can humiliate them on our way to the title.

Nobody on the '04 Lakers was 42. (I don't think.)

Of course, I do miss calling Reggie the most over-rated player in the NBA. If he came back I'd have a few more opportunities.

Malone turned 41 a month after the Championship.

Reggie Miller is a little less than 2 years younger than Karl.

Boston's getting desperate for depth.

One advantage to Reggie playing for the Celtics is that it would be easy to hate the Celtics again. They might even want to add another couple of old geezers who never got a ring.Plus it would really irritate a lot of Pacer fans. I think Reggie deserves some acclimades if he can come back and play at the NBA level.

So what other ringless geezers should the Celt's add to their roster?

According rumours, Ainge and Doc have contacted the following former players looking for rings
Karl Malone
Patrick Ewing
Doug Christie

any more you can add to list, let Doc know:)

I think Pip just wants to have more rings than Jordan and Horry..:)

Maybe Dyess will demand a trade to the C's if thinks their chances are better:stirthepot:

I think adding Pippen and Doug and Jackie Christie would make this one of the most despicable teams of all time.

Its getting pretty bad for them trying to find other players. I think they only have 9 or so signed and are already 6 mil into lux tax

I voted for Spud Webb

To me I think adding both Spud Webb and Patrick Ewing would work. Spud would have to agree to participate in the Slam Dunk contest.

Next thing you know Laimbeer will be calling Cheryl and ask her if she wants to one up her brother one more time.

http://assets.espn.go.com/media/ncw/2005/1123/photo/a_miller_275.jpg

In 1986, Sports Illustrated named USC's Cheryl Miller the best male or female player in college basketball.

In that year Reggie was playing for UCLA, so even though they were both playing in college at the same time SI voted her the better basketball player. Nothing like having your big sister kick your butt. LOL

In the 1984-1985 NCAA season he helped the Bruins (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UCLA_Bruins) to an NIT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NIT) championship. In his senior season, 1986-1987, he led the Bruins to a Pac-10 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pac-10) regular season championship and the first Pac-10 tournament championship.

It is generally known that when they were growing up Reggie could never beat her one on one. (She is 20 months older than him)

This is funny. Truehoop posted a link to some comments Reggie made in 2003 about how he didn't want to be like Malone or Payton and sign with a team just to get a ring:

In announcing his new multiyear contract to stay in Indiana as a member of the Pacers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=ind), Miller took the anti-Malone approach. He opted to stick with the only team he's known instead of chasing an elusive NBA title with a more likely contender.
"I didn't want to be like some other guys who jump on another team's bandwagon just to get a ring," Miller said

Reggie could do it, because the only thing he would have to do is camp out on the 3pt line. Boston traded away every single 3pt shooter they had and they've only got Ray Allen who can make them now.

Perfect scenario for Miller. Bring a deckchair if necessary.

Impressive enough, Malone was able to put up 13 points on 48% shooting, 8.7rpg to go with 1,2 spg being a 40 year old PF in the Western conference. Even more impressive, he had 20+ppg the years before. Maybe he would have scored even more with the Lakers if he wasn't playing along side Shaq, Kobe and GP. I don't know any other NBA player being able to put up numbers like these in his end 30's (maybe Kareem?).

Say it ain't so, Reg | IndyStar.com (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070809/SPORTS0403/708090504/1247/SPORTS)

Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh, who drafted Miller in 1987, was caught off-guard by the report.
"I'm surprised he didn't call us first; this is the first I've heard of it," Walsh said.
Walsh, however, doesn't doubt Miller's ability to contribute.
"I wouldn't bet against Reggie in anything," Walsh said. "I know he can still shoot. That I know. Other than that, I don't know."

Looks like Reggie has decided not to come back after all.
