When we drafted Scot Pollard way back when..I never would have thought he would stick in the League this long!

Just goes to show what a pink skin can accomplish when he wears the haircut of a red skin.

The Celtics will be House's 8th team in the 8 years that he has been in the league and 5th team in the last 4 years.
I wonder what the other 7 teams know that a desperate Ainge doesn't.
Of course at least House can play a litlle that is more that can said of Pollard. Pollard makes Montross look like a decent player.

Pollard is a vet. You can count on him to play tough, hustle and get under an opponent's skin. Regardless of color.

House will give them some quality minutes. Pollard is good for 10-15 hustle minutes per night to spell KG.

Pollard stinks as an NBA player. For having signed with the Celtics he should be charged, tried and convicted for
1. Taking money without earning it, even though the season hasn't even started..
2. Grand theft
3. Impersonating a NBA player.
In two of the last four years he has averaged more fouls per game than points!!!

I am glad that you didn't say that he would get in opponents' hair regardless of their hair style. because that would present a big problem for him when the opposing player he is guarding is bald.
Pollard is a wanna be (or maybe he actually is) Hells Angel and he belongs on a Harley not on a NBA basketball court.

Obviously some teams think otherwise if they sign the guy up. They can't all be nincompoops, can they?

Actually I believe that Boston will be only his second team that he signed a new contract with with over the last four years even though he has played for three teams during that time period.
Earlier in his career he was a decent enough backup for a mediocre team, but now is game is non existent. Earlier in his career he had his two season where he averaged over 20 minutes a game, about 23 minutes a game in both of those years, but that was when he was in his prime.
In two of the last four years he has averaged less than 2 points a game and more fouls per game than points.
In his whole 10 year career he has averaged only 48 games a year and in the last three years he has averaged 39 games a year.
He will be 33 years old during the next season.
This is the NBA we are talking about, not the WWF.

I never said he was a good player. He's a scrub that could fill in here and there and he has size. Heck, Nazr spent half of the last year on the bench.

I guess they could've signed someone like Eddie Fobbs. At least he is younger.

I agree with you that Fobbs may have been a better choice for them than Pollard.

By the way his first name is spelled Eddy not Eddie. I made the same mistake until I saw it on the link.

Well, let him be Eddy. I watched him on Pistons summer league team, and he looked horrible most of the time. But he is still a big body and young enough to possibly work on his game and improve.
