No entertaining details yet a la Jason Kidd and his wife, but maybe something amusing will surface at some point.

Wow, they seemed so happy on MTV Cribs. I think it's sad. If Shaq and Shaunie can't make it, who can?

So you're predicting the fall of civilization and the disintegration of the American family just based on this, linwood? ;)

There were some stories at one point about how Kobe, when he had his, uh, troubles in Colorado, told the detectives there something like "I should have paid my women off, like Shaq." Maybe that has something to do with this...:stirthepot:

I am wondering if I should file for a divorce and chase after Shaunie?? Naw I love my wife, and besides I would have to fight with Shaq about all the money Shaunie would be spending on me:).

Money issues do cause divorces in marriage, but seems that they have enough that it would not be an issue. I believe she has a job doing some reporter work around Miami and even though her salary is probably less than 2% of his, I can't see him breaking up over this??? Must be another issue.....:sssh:

It appears that he is divorcing her because he charges that she is "hiding assets".

Shaquille O'Neal has filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Shaunie Nelson, and is accusing her of hiding 'assets'.
Shaquille Oneal filed divorce papers on Tuesday in Miami and apparently suspects his estranged wife Shaunie Nelson of hiding and keeping hush on many financial assets.
While Shaq and Shaunie have what's being described as an 'iron-clad' pre-nup, the divorce could still get very ugly if Shaq's suspicions are proven true.

This is the best line I have read on this forum in months. Classic stuff, Linwood. Way to go.

I don't understand why any of these guys get married until they are at least lower 30s or mid-30s. I wouldn't mind having women throwing themselves at me for 10 years or so. 'Course, they wouldn't love me for my heart. I got feelings, too, y'know. Sniff, sniff. :)

Somewhere, Kobe must be laughing his arse off!!!!!!!!!!

Shaq`s wife is stealing his money, Kobe is giving his away to his wife.........what a contrast.

Kobe and Vanessa are working on year #7. I think she like's his money a lot

5/05: Kobe Bryant surprised his wife, Vanessa, with a recommitment ceremony in Laguna Beach, California. The surprise reportedly cost Kobe $50,000. "The pair dined privately in a beachfront tent decorated to resemble a favorite L.A. restaurant Dolce."

Just down the road from my homestead, though I have never eaten there.

Cuisine Italian Rating http://www.calendarlive.com/images/standard/2-star.gif Ambience L.A.'s first hip Italian spot is thronged with the young and briefly famous, all tucked into capacious black leather booths. A wild bar scene where the babes are often five deep. Best dishes Fried calamari and shrimp, tomato soup with Tuscan bread, pesto gnocchi, grilled cuttlefish, spaghetti with assorted seafood, saffron risotto with braised veal, galletto alla diavola, pan-roasted swordfish steak, roasted rack of veal. Best table A corner booth. Desserts Panettone tiramisu in espresso sauce, ricotta cheese custard. Night Life Bars , Food Served , Outdoor Patio Of Note A large patio that functions as the smoking section. Payment All major credit cards Prices Antipasti and salads, $6 to $12; pasta and risotto, $12 to $19; main courses, $19 to $29; desserts, $7. Service Overwrought, sporadically attentive. Wine list Lengthy wine list compiled by sommelier Alessandro Sbrendola. Of course, Italian wines star. Corkage, $35.
