The Lions take their 2-0 record on the road to visit the 0-2 Eagles. Which team will break their streak?
Anyone care to make any game predictions?

3-0..........
As the Lions head east they will take care of both NFC East teams, the Eagles and become 4-0 after defeating the sorry Redskins!
Hell, I may go the `Skins - Lions game..........if a friend can get the free tickets he has been talking about.
The Lions will be overmatched even by these Eagles. Expect Philly to take advantage of these toothless cats. Donovan McNabb is ready again for prime time. Look for a score of 31-21...........Eagles.........

Eagles are a mess the way McNabb is playing. Now McNabb has started a media frenzy over his HBO interview that will cause distractions. But I wouldn't count them out.
We have NEVER BEATEN the Redskins there in the entire time of the history between the two teams. 0-21.

Welcome to the Jungle my friend! The roar is being restored as we speak!
These are the "same old Lions".
(Having said that, a minimum of 49.9% of me is still worried that we might lose on Sunday. I've been optimistic about this team before. Just when I thought they had turned the corner, they get blown out and reality slaps me right in the face.)

High risk/ high reward offense. When you suck, you need to gamble a little bit.
That is what I never liked about Joey Harrington. It seemed like he was incapable of having a big game.

You know what I'm trying to say. I'll take the screw ups from Kitna as long as he can produce a big game on occasion. There is no sense in playing conservative ball when you the inferior team.

You're right, Philly is a really tough place to play. You're correct, Philly is none for their snowball tosses from the stands.
I was just checking out espn.com and they have 5 "experts" picking the winners for this week's match-ups. Four of the 5 guys actually chose the Lions to win at Philly! When was the last time the Lions were favoured on the road? Especially in a hostile environment like Philly.

The Lions are 2-0. The Eagles are 0-2. Philly played poorly on Monday night and have a short week to prepare. Despite all of this, the Eagles are 6.5 point favorites. People just aren't ready to believe in the Lions quite yet.

Philly is a tough place indeed.
A few years back there was a fan of another team at Veterans Stadium rooting for the opposition, it may have been against the Redskins. The fan was dressed in a Santa Claus outfit. Philly fans beat him unconscious. The guy actually had to be taken from the stands in a stretcher.
If the Lions do take this game, I hope there aren`t any over zealous fans in attendence!!!!!
Also, Philly is decimated by injuries, not to mention Mcnabb is not the QB he once was.....hence, a Lions win, so say the experts.

Westbrook

= 200 all purpose yards and 3 TDs
(plus 3 other rushers have an additional 45 rushing yards)

He has missed 1 pass all day. He's 14 of 15 passing for 332 yards, 22.1 yards per attempt and 4 TDs with 1 INT.
I don't know if he'll hit 500 though. I think they'll be doing a lot more running in the 2nd half to eat some clock.
Kitna actually only has 18 less passing yards than McNabb. Had he hit that throw in the end zone at the end of the half he'd have more than McNabb. He'd also have 3 TDs and 0 INTs and the Lions would only be down 2 scores. But it just didn't happen.

Don't care how good Calvin Johnson looked in the college, Millen should have either drafted a defensive back or maybe even took Adrian Peterson. I am wondering if they should have traded that pick for two picks or some established defensive player. (56 points! yikes!!) Seems like they had enough WR's.
I didn't see the game, but heard it on the radio. McNabb who had his own controversy all week based on his play in the first two games was at one point 20-21 in passing efficiency. Then to see Brian Westbrook run 14 rushes for 110 yards and the Lions backs only get 39??? What happen to the rebuilt offensive line?? Kevin Jones returns for a TD, but 3 rushes for 5 yards??

9 sacks and about a dozen each of hurries and hits. Always good for your QB who is coming back from a concussion in the previous week.
Someone should write the snap count on the inside of George Foster's eye lids, since he must be sleeping out there.
When he's awake he's been playing ok, but he's averaging about 3 false start penalties per game. Those are Jeff Backus type numbers!
Good to see that Roy Williams keep his games with a bone headed play streak alive. He had a couple of nice drops today. One that would have scored a touchdown and one that would have been for about 20 yards and a first down. Both of which he was WIDE open for.

I didn't watch the game, so I can't say whether or not he was effective. I'll take your word for it.
I was just surprised that he threw for more yards than McNabb, but had 35 less points.
I ask this question a lot, but has that ever happened before? Losing by 35 or more points, but having more passing yards than your opponent?
I'm sure it has, but it must be very rare.

i think the 440 yards was a Lion single game QB record. The reason for the point differential is because eagles got over 150 yards on the ground to go with McNabb's passing yardage and the Liars got less than 40.
To add to the misery the lions made it to the red zone on at least four occassions where they came up empty due to a missed field goal, two fumbles and an interception. That's 12 to 28 points that they missed out on. I think there may have been another op in the red zone too that was not converted.
Finally the way the way the Eagle uniforms looked, I can see why the Lions purposely missed tackling them.:)
