Dixie Sun Online Edition - Dixie State College of Utah (http://sun.dixie.edu/index.php?pg=story&storyid=2581)
2 - Darko Milicic. Thank you, Detroit Pistons, for completely dropping the ball on this one. Detroit took Milicic No. 2 in the draft after Lebron James, which on paper looked like he had up-side and potential. After all, he was an international star on the rise. Unfortunately, if you take a look at the third, fourth and fifth that came out of that deep draft class you realize that Detroit shot themselves in the foot because the Nuggets got Carmelo Anthony, the Heat took Dwyane Wade, and the Raptors got Chris Bosh. What should be especially annoying is the fact that the last three years Detroit has been in the NBA finals or the conference finals. And in 2005 they lost the conference finals to Wade and the Heat, who later won the NBA title. That has got to sting a little bit.

If you have to ask you'll never know.
On the flipside - those papers have interesting things in them sometimes. I don't usually read them, but rather do a news search on Google and read up on what comes up.
:hoops:
And I get to share it all with you. Isn't it fun?

I checked the Dixie State College website and they have a basketball team. Their starting center is 6'10 and in his profile it says he bats righthanded and throws righthanded.

That explains how he ended up at Dixie State. Left-handed hitters are snatched up early by most of the college basketball power houses. Switch hitters usually commit their junior year.
