Be careful. You don't want to give my team bulletin board material.

Slippy, why did you just pm me to say

"Darth, Bill's team doesn't even know how to read or write, so why should I care about giving him bulletin board material?" ???

So why is it that only me and ballers got their rosters locked?

Anyway, like Mchale shaking hands with Isiah after Boston finally got beat, go on and win it all Ros!

This Novice League is all about the ring! Once you were defeated in the playoffs, I locked the add/drop option, so that teams still fighting it out for #1 couldn't pick up your castoffs.

See what the corrupt commish can do? That makes me longing for Darth.

Why do you need to set your lineup? Just ask Roscoe how it works.

Actually, that's bull. How are you even supposed to play if you can't set your lineup? This is called changing the rules within the game.
Commish needs to be brought up on charges of conspiracy.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I thought I just locked it down so that you couldn't add/ drop players.

I'm not sure how I did that, but I do apologize.

if you go back through the transactions, you see both Add/Drop and Roster changes being changed to locked. I think you only needed add/drop.

Sorry, I know it's a little late, but those of you still fighting it out for 3rd through last place can now adjust your lineups.

Looks like Roscoe has pulled slightly ahead of Bill in the Novice League Finals.

The game is still very close: Tied for points, and only 3 3 pointers, 6 turnovers and 7 steals separating the teams. With two days left, I think it's anyone's game.

If Roscoe wins I just was wondering whether the official investigation will begin before or after his victory party?

Bill, this is kind of like U of M losing to Appalachian State. You'll never EVER live this down.

It's awesome that 5-6 are duking it out for the title. This league was so volatile, anyone could have won at any given time so its really a reflection of how you played the season out IMHO.

Damn! The Novice League Playoffs are amazing! Big upsets with the Number 5 and Number 6 seeds fighting it out for the championship. Only one game left, and the battle hinges on 3 point shooting. Roscoe is up in this catagory, but only by 3.

Bill needs to make 4 three pointers, and hold Roscoe to 0 three pointers. The rest doesn't matter.

You're right. It's crazy. I think you mean steals, though, not three-pointers. The only other hope for me is if Roscoe's team actually misses a couple of free throws. His team is shooting an absurd 84.4%.

There's a difference between steals and 3 pointers? No wonder I'm last in the Novice League!

If you pick up 3 more steals and Roscoe doesn't get any, it will be a tie. I wonder how Yahoo handles something like that?

There are tie break scenarios. I lost a baseball league last year on a tiebreak. I think it's lousy because if your team isn't strong in the tiebreak cat, you're screwed, so it's good to know that early in the season.

Looks like I won my first league after about 10,000 tries.

Yipeeeeeee!

Thanks to everybody, and Bill for a great season. Just kidding. Bill is included in everybody. :)

Congratulations Roscoe! It was a very tight series, coming down to three steals.

Nice job with the win. I wonder how many #6 seeds won it all in other leagues?

It's nice to see the Tru Warrier finally get his ring.

Congratulations Roscoe!!! You came on very strong toward the end of the season to make the playoffs in the last week and just kept it rolling. Good work my friend...you deserve the win :)

And I'd like to say thanks to all fellow Novice League GMs for helping to make my first fantasy season a lot of fun. In my best Arnold impersonation, "Ah'll be back" :shootingsoldier::MusicBigGrin:

I'd also like to thank Tater & Aurora for sharing their knowledge of fantasy bball and answering the many questions I had at the start of the season and during the course of it :)

:canada::work: <---Ebeneezer Roscoe. He's a cheapskate. He still owes me a couple too.

He stopped giving out new banners long ago. He says it's clutter or something. I think maybe now that we colluded to let him win one of his own, he'll open up the vault and start sharing the wealth.

Actually, Roscoe says it's clutter or something. Go figure, those Cannuckians are odd birds!

How about just one banner for all the winners with their total ships listed? (like 4 championship Lane, or something?) Wouldn't even need to name the sport...Or there WAS that Hall of fame idea (but I still like the banners better)...:gun1:
