Ok, so who is your favorite player? Now, I'm not asking you who would you take if you were to start an NBA franchise. I'm not asking you who is the best individual player in the league. I'm not asking you who is your favorite Piston. If you pick your best player based on any of these criteria, that's cool. But you can pick based on anything.

So if someone picks Darko...that's cool. He's not saying he's the best player...just his favorite. If someone (***cough KIM cough*) picks the player with the best booty...so be it. It's cool too.

My favorite player? I used to think it was Arenas...but you know, he's a bit of an ass. So tonight I was looking at fantasy stats. My boy Ginoboli was doing kinda crappy tonight. I was thinking...that's OK, Manu. Ypu give it your all. You're a winner. You are getting assists and other stuff to help your team. You've got all that talent and you WANT to come off the pine to help your boys. That's a team player. That's how I play games too...minus the talent, of course.

I love the flopping. Anyone who has seen me play fantasy sports knows that if it's in the rules...I'll do it. I like Ginoboli. Love the flops. Love the effort. I wish more players were like him.

Manu Ginoboli is my favorite NBA player. Never even thought about it until tonight.

So tell us. Who is your favorite player?

In Pistons, Maxieel. In the league, Josh Smith.
No reasons, just love them.

Tay for sure.

Not on our team, I probably root for Ben the most, since I watch a ton of Bulls games.

Other than that, I like to watch games with ex Pistons: Arroyo, Hill, Darko, Delfino, Smush, etc.

AI - just wants it more than anyone else

Honorable mentions...

Sheed - more fun than a barrel of monkeys and a tragic flaw that would make Sophocles proud

Big Ben - hate the way he has faded, but man, those were some good years

Amir Johnson or Hot Rod Stuckey if either of them would ever play. LOL

I could see one of these young guys being my favorite player someday. There isn't an NBA player not on the Pistons that I make it a point to see their games. My favorite player will probably always be a Piston. Some of my past favorites were Bob Lanier Grant Hill. Joe Dumars was my favorite player for a long time.

If I had to pick a favorite player today, it would have to be Tayshaun Prince. He contributes on both ends of the floor, always makes good decisions, plays within the team framework, and is always a professional. I guess he's the closest that the Pistons have to Joe D right now.

I've given this a lot of thought. I'm gonna go with Scot Pollard. That guy has hidden talents and has been disrespected from Day 1.

Iverson

Just for his "we talkin' about practice" classic, AI is definitely up there on my list.

If you haven't watched it in a while: YouTube - Iverson Practice! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGDBR2L5kzI)

He said "Practice" 24 and 1/2 times in a 2 minute and 22 second video.
I would need practice to shoot such a video.

Favorite Pistons.... Probably Maxiell. Tough one though. Sheed/Tay/ are right there. Amir/Stuckey have a good shot when they start playing.

My favorite Non-Pistons... Dwight Howard, Durant, Kobe, KG

I don't root for them, but I like watching them play.

I like him because he would add that missing spark coming off the bench.
We do not have that right now, nor did we see it last season. Plus, he a big guy.............Energy is a good quality to have.....

I also think he would be a great addition, but not for 10mil/yr. Can't blame Clev for not signing him. Now he may miss the whole year and end up signing for what they were originally offering. He should find a new agent. Bad advise is bad advise.

I like pure shooters like Ray Allen. Don't really root for him but love watching him play.

I read something yesterday about how Varajaoe got a new agent and they guy is making this ultra aggressive move with the holdout. The gist of it was that all the other agents and players are really hoping Cleveland gives in, b/c they think it would give them more leverage to do the same in the future.

So, this is just a battle in the bigger war. More reason for Cleveland to hold firm.

I have been starting to really like Kobe Bryant in the past few years. My opinion of him was way down during the whole rape trial season, but since letting that go (since we never will really know what happened) I have started to respect the amazing talent, hard work, and the fact that he is (in my opinion) the best player in the world right now, even without help from the refs. It seems to me that he doesn't get the kind of calls that Le(no)brain and Dwyane Fade do, yet he consistently outperforms them. And he plays kick-butt defense to boot. I am looking forward to seeing him in action live and in person tomorrow at Salt Lake City against the Jazz.

Made me think of what my favorite team would be:

PG-Kidd (Williams catching up rather quickly)
SG-Kobe, monster on both ends of the floor, loved him on Team USA
SF-Tay, love the high hoop IQ, defense, and all around game. Have you ever read his hoop resume on hoopshype.com-simply amazing.
PF-KG - Do I really need to say why.
C- Duncan, Technically a PF-technically.

Because you can be a Piston and still not an NBA player...

Fav Piston - Ronald Dupree. No one talks about him, and he doesn't complain about not playing.

Fav NBA Player - Rasheed Wallace. Then probably Jose Calderon. Then Maxiell.
