The Lions look to go 8-8 and finish with a .500 record for the first time in the Millen era. Yippee.

While this game in meaningless, I still think that it would be a nice boost going into next season for us to finish at .500. Despite the great first half and horrible 2nd half of the season, I think the team is actually improving. There are still NUMEROUS holes on this team - the biggest of which is the one between Millen's ears - but at least they're moving in the right direction. Four or 5 more wins than the previous season is a pretty nice improvement.

Your thoughts?

Does this game mean anything for the Lions?
Overall, do you consider this season to be an improvement?
Do you think Mike Martz will be back next season?

I think Martz stays if Kitna stays and plays. They're linked somehow.
Yes this is a big improvement. We won with some luck, which we missed for 5 years.
After the Denver blowout, I was sold. I was sold a bill of goods, that sucked hard the last 7 games. We need to stay healthy. Boss is our LB that can neutralize a good TE.
Besides if they "look" to go 8-8 why did you dis them in the picks game?

Because they're playing at GB. If it was in Detroit, I'd take the Lions. Even though this game means less to GB than it does to Det, I just don't see them winning in December on the frozen tundra.

Maybe "look" was the wrong choice of words. I just meant that if they won, they'd finish 8-8. Perhaps "hope", "pray", "beg", "plead", "sell their souls" would have been more appropriate. Just because they're "looking" to win, doesn't mean that they will.

Lions look to still have the same needs as last season. A 6-2 start had everybody hoping. The coach said the team was ready to become an elite team. I feel we're still looking for an Identity. With 7 wins, Millen's job is safe and we can look forward to the same. I miss the days of the Silver Rush, and the 1991 bunch who played together to overcome the injury tragedy. I will not pick a winner cause the game is completely meaningless...........

No look is appropriate, cause that's all they'll get.

I know this was a meaningless game, but it's still pretty bad when the other team can play their backups against our starters and STILL kick our butts. :gun1::gun1::gun1:

They didn't bother to show up to a meaningless game.
