Sir Charles said. "The Suns are soft like tissue paper. They will never win a title as long as the toughest player on their team is a kicker".

Who is this player that Sir Charles is referring to as a "kicker" and what did he he mean by this term "kicker"

You know, suns preferres fast-paced tempo...And after basket, to keep tempo up, somebody has to pick up and pass ball out very quickly...And this extra-quick passer is that "kicker"...

InsideHoops.com - Raja Bell suspended one game for kick (http://www.insidehoops.com/bell-suspended-010507.shtml)

Possibly this?

So you are suggesting that the Sir Charles said the Suns wouldn't win the NBA title because their toughest player Bell was suspended for a game for kicking?

Interesting.

Here is some more information.

Sir Charles said that a football team would never win the Super Bowl if their toughest player was their kicker and the Suns toughest player is a kicker so the Suns won't win the NBA title.

So who is the Suns toughest player and why is Sir Charles referring to him as a kicker?

What did he mean?

:hoops:

Pretty simple. Suns hired football-player. What a mess.

didn't see it so only a guess here, but Nash played soccer growing up or at some point? so maybe he's going there?

Sir Charles clarified it.

He said that you can't win an NBA title if your toughest player is your point guard.

I don't agree with him.

I'm sure you are spending much more time analyzing what Barclay said than what he spent thinking about it before he said it. :)

I agree with you by the way. Point guard Isiah Thomas was the toughest of the Bad Boys, in my opinion.

I think your Avatar needs to have a Lakers uniform

Kicker meant Nash even without clearing it up. Nash is known for his soccer skills, there are plenty of clips of that on youtube. That's why he called him a kicker - as in kicking the ball.

With the Spurs getting old before our eyes, who is left over there besides the Suns? Certainly cannot make the Dallas mistake again. I refuse to pick the LA Lakers, specially if Webber joins them. No one else is battle tested. Charles is mad because Wade make it into his "favorite five".......

So you are saying that Sir Charles said.

The Suns won't win the NBA title because their toughest player used to play soccer?

That doesn't make any sense.

How many things have Barkley said so far that don't make much sense?

It makes sense to me. Soccer players are used to scoring 1 point and ripping off their clothes and running around with their arms out like airplane wings. That whole celebration gets old when you do it 20 to 30 times per game in the NBA.

Sounds a lot like Darth Tater. Except he doesn't need an excuse like scoring one goal.

A lot of what he says is filled with hyperbole.

It seems to me that he knows a lot more about what is going on then Kenny Smith, but that is just my opinion.
