He has always been able to make the spectacular looking play, but he has never been able to shoot worth sheet.
Now that he is slower with less hops he has become a second rate starting point

Dude has to be one of the illest passers in NBA history hands down!!!!

That pass off the glass to himself was pretty cool.
It's amazing how much he toned it all down since then.
Notice how many times Webber was on the receiving end of those passes? You have to have good court vision to play with a good passer... unless you want to get hit in the head with the ball.

wow, he could even dunk. But I remember well how spectacular he played- he was a weekly fix in the top- 10 countdown.
I remember myself adding some of his move to my repertoire back than :)
That stop & go around Payton is amazing.

Wasn't it Hubie Brown that calmed him down a bit?

Hubie took the flash out of his game but isn't there a certain entertainment value he took away too?

The 3/4 court oop was amazing!
If you can throw an alley oop that accurately from that far away, you may as well just make the basket and get 3 points for it. :)

Wow, I miss Big Ben.
Anyone wondering what's missing from this team just has to watch that video. Man was an absolute terror in the paint (defensively of course). His quickness allowed him to recover from help and still get the block. His Rodmanesque jumping ability and tenacity for the ball was unequaled around the league. His great anticipation and b-ball IQ allowed him to make steals and strips like a PG.
R.I.P Ben.

In all seriousness, I think that Amir and JMax are pretty good Ben 2.0's. Ben had a very small window from '02-'06 when he was the man. These 2 bring a lot of that quickness, jumping ability, attitude, and yet they are better on offense and should have more than 5 productive years.

The way JWill had the ball on a string makes him so much fun to watch. The behind the head passes off of the fake, his ability to switch the ball in the air between hands after he lost his dribble, and his dribbling, just sick.
This was the guy who embarrasses everyone on the playground.

Dayum, I mean does the word TRAVEL mean anything. Dude took more steps than a recovering alcoholic. But I can't lie, had I been officiating I would have been so blinded by the flash I would have forgot the rules too!!!!
Finally found the quote that ran through my mind the first time I saw this thread:
I really like Jason Williams personally. He's fun. Are there things I like about Jason as a basketball player? No. And that's being candid.

Finally found the quote that ran through my mind the first time I saw this thread:
Hubie Brown was one of the leading pioneers for Jason Williams type plays back in the day when behind the back no look passes were considered "hotdogging it".
Too many people try to put Hubie and his methods in a completely opposite context.
Listen, I know Hubie Brown had a life before he looked like this, but I can't make myself believe it.

All this talk about White Chocolate and all that he can do with the ball and no mention of Curly Neal. Come on guys. Neal was the best with the ball that there ever was, even better than Pistol Pete who himself was better than White Chocolate.
I am assuming that you guys/gals know who Curly Neal is. LOL

Q-TIPS:Amazing how WC and BEn are chronicled in this same thread, because both had coaches who tried to take their life out of them.
How I miss playing at Belle Isle!!!! I could do probably 75% of WC's antics in that vid. Yeah, right ...lemme stop!Demetrious Gore is rolling in his grave!!:pound:Anyway, White Choc(only losers call him J-Will) was as sweet as any guard I ever saw. Those of u who never saw Pistol in Atlanta, well..um umm ummm. But I digress. Wc was one of those players that was getting legendary as far as playground lore goes. People wanted to see 'this white boy'. It was a time when Stern decided that he needed to Un-Rodmanate the league a lil bit. Hence, WC's real game was stolen. That guy in Miami is not even Jason Williams. Jason Williams was the guy that hit 21 on us two years ago. The guy in the vid was White Chocalate.
and btw..i could do ALL THAT!!!..except the dunk>
