Seems out of character for the one of the greatest and most controversial of coaches...he has stepped of college hoops.

Wonder if he will be back in a month. Maybe at Kentucky.

Maybe with the Pistons after all star break?

He could be Sheed's mental coach.

Rumor has it that Rodman has hired him to give Rodman inside tips on how be a warm and understanding coach so Dennis will be well loved by his troops if there is a Minis II, or if he gets to replace Lambs with the Shock when Lambs replaces Flipper with the Pistons.

Is that the league that Dennis is playing in now? No wonder he still gets rebounds.

ESPN Classic is doing a tribute to Knight and they are showing a replay of the 1981 NCAA title game between North Carolina and Indiana.

Zeke of course played in this game. His last college game before we drafted him.

Indiana for part of the game ran a box and one on the offense with Zeke in the middle. He looked really good. He finished with 23 points which was game high. Indiana won.

James Worthy, Sam Perkins and Al Wood were on the North Carolina team. Randy Whitman and Ray Tolbert, who played for us for a while were among Zeke's teammates.

It is amazing how skinny all the players were. But then that was before the weight rooms became big in sports.

Ronald Reagan was shot on the day of the game March 30, 1981.

A far cry from Indiana University to MSG. LOL

The press isn't even playing up the nepotism angle. Is his son so weak he needs a boost. Is this an accepted practice now?

What is a box and one offense? Never heard of it.

4 guys at each corner (2 down low near the base line and 2 up high above the key) plus one guy in the middle around the foul line.

It is an old time slow down ball control offense used primarily in college.

The ball is passed into the player in the middle in that case Zeke and he then dribbles or passes to one of the four guys in the each of the four corners or cutting from the corner to an open spot inside the box.

I believe that the Pistons use it on occasion. I have seen them use it with AJ playing the middle guy.

Box +1 is a defense, Four Corners is an offense, made famous by Dean Smith.

Thanks for the correction.

At least I identified it. I just called it by the wrong name. LOL
