This Thread is for those of us that think the NBA wants a Celtics/Lakers final and will do anything to make it happen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't see the NBA letting another Pistons/Spurs final happen after the ratings they got. This totally sucks for the Pistons. The refs are going to be so pro Boston it is going to make your head spin.
Do you think this helps or hurts the Pistons or has no effect at all.
You bring up an interesting scenario as Sterns dream would be Celtics and Lakers and night mare would be Spurs/Pistons. Stern would rather see an eighties redux than a 2005 do over.
The conspiracy only goes in affect if the Pistons and Spurs steal one of the first two games and then some bad fouls are called vs Detroit and San Antonio on their home floors in attempt to get the so called favorites back in the series:stirthepot:.
You know what I love. Stern would rather have Paul Pierce giving gang signs in the finals then two teams playing real defense and giving it their all.
Sad state of the NBA.
And this is why a little part of me cried when the Spurs won LOL. It screws us just alittle more aginst BOS now that the match-up is an actual possibility.
I think it's going to be BOS/Spurs to be honest with the Spurs finally repeating.
The Lakers might suprise though.
A true conspiracy should also take into account the number of games played. Nice 7 game series between Lakers and Celtics would be nice.
OMG. Perish the Thought, LPGRL.
What a horrifying potentiality I never thought of. I mean, I would definitely have to take lots of mood and mind altering substances for a long time to get over that Finals matchup. Garnett goes away without his ring, snatched away by the Dastardly Spurs? Another victory parade down the "Riverwalk" (muddy narrow canal thing in the middle of Texas)? Horrifying.
Say it ain't so. Say it can't be. Go Lakers....and GO GO GO Pistons.
Stern's conspiracy has already started!
I'd rather see Spurs win it all than the other 2 - Lakers or Celtics. They are a true definition of the team that has no true stars ala Kobe or KG. They are similar to Pistons in that respect, although they are coached better, I must admit.
