View Full Version : Shaq loses his badge
I am sure many of you have heard the Shaq rap bit where he slammed Kobe. Which is practically everyone who tuned into a sports talk show today.
Don't know why he did it but thanks for the diversion Shaq.
"I want his two badges back," Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."
ESPN - Sheriff cites language as reason for wanting Shaq's badges back - NBA (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3459208)

That Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, he's a real character. He makes a cameo in American Drug War. He's highly questionable in my opinion.

Impressive how you actually know this sherrif, 1st I head of him.
yea I don't know if its exactly a hanging offense. Not very professional for him to do it but.

I don't really care what the motivation of the sheriff was, but Shaq is an idiot. One of the most two-faced, obnoxious players in the NBA. I heard his "rap", and my ears were bleeding.
If Kobe were to respond, he should say something like "Shaq's got alot of free time on his hands. Getting bounced in the 1st round will do that for you. Then mention how he would love to respond and give Shaq the attention he so desperately needs, but he's busy preparing for you know the Olympics."
The reason Shaq's getting a divorce has nothing to do with Kobe. This is 5 years after the fact, and from my understanding Shaq's wife was screwing her trainer ? and embezzling money. If Shaq couldn't handle being cheated on he shouldn't have done it to her in the 1st place. I highly doubt that Kobe mentioning it was the first time his wife "found out" She knew all along. Women always do.
And Shaq and her met when she was with someone else and she cheated with him. Karma.
Kind of an OT rant sorry LOL, but Shaq sucks.

:pound::pound::pound:
You have to also take into account that Shaq had to be traded to even have the honor of being "bounced"in the 1st round. Otherwise he'd be waiting on the Lottory like the rest of the Heat. He's lucky David Stern was on his side or he wouldn't have beaten Dallas for his one "minus Kobe" ring!

Sorry...hate me if you must...but I ride with Shaq on this one...lol
For the next 5 years anybody that dunks on Kobe will run back down the court yellin, "Kobe, tell me how my ****** taste!"
Pure comedy...I will never stop laughing. :pound:

It was funny. But it doesn't make Shaq any less of a blowhard.

I got a sense of satisfaction after hearing the rap. I've always liked Shaq, but him slammin Kobe was beautiful.
I sure would LIKE to hear some players quote Shaq after dunkin on Kobe...:gun1:
But Shaq cannot blame Kobe for his breakup, anybody who dates someone as "the other" usually gets it handed to them.

So very true...
I still despise Kobe, but I'm moving Shaq from harmless buffoon list to my A-hole of the month list.
I don't even think the rap was very good. A catchy beat, but he sucks. The idea was kind of funny, but the presentation more vile than anything else, IMO.

When I was watching it, I kept imagining David Stern watching it too. Then I imagined what Stern will look like when Kobe goes on the road next season and fans start chanting "Kobe, tell me..." :sssh:

The beautiful part (for me) about this is that I harbor a strong dislike for BOTH of these guys. Let them just rip each other until the freaking cows come home for all I care.
...It's kinda like if Pol Pot and Mao Tse-tung got into a fistfight.
You'd just want those two evil bastards to pummel each other!

I don't mind Kobe because he is a superstar (the best in the league actually) that does not seem to get all these superstar calls.

The rap from Shaq was funny. I think losing his deputy badge is a little over the top. Shaq does need to get over getting traded. It is a business. If he had not wanted 25 million a season maybe he would still be a Laker.

See i wish i could appreciate the funny, but coming from him ugh. It's so random too. Why now? He was in the papers two weeks ago saying how proud he is of Kobe, how he's the best player ever, how he's so happy he's in the finals. He was just waiting for Kobe to fail. If he kept his mouth shut in the beginning it might not looked so out of left field. He's just a hypocrite. His marriage is falling apart and he's lashing out.
All my default Kobe defending is making me feel like i need a shower LOL

Maybe the sheriff is a drama queen, but it's still a pretty good bet that non-celebrity deputies (you know, the kind that do it for a living and noone outside of the community knows them) caught on tape with this kind of funny business would be hard-pressed to save their job.

Kobe must respond in kind. He should get Gas and Walton and do something:
I got your white boys right here.
The sheriff is in jail
Go eat another cake

Typing "shaq attacked" on you tube pulls up quite a profanity laced retort if thats what you're looking for.

Shaq is a heavy breather :pound:
Woman Calls Shaq a Heavy and a Heavy Breather - TMZ.com (http://www.tmz.com/2008/08/22/woman-calls-shaq-a-heavy-and-a-heavy-breather/)
Alexis Miller, an Atlanta hip-hop artist who goes by MaryJane, just got a restraining order against Shaquille O'Neal, alleging he threatened to hurt her and harassed her with heavy-breathing over the phone.
The docs claim following their break-up last month, Shaq "threatened to 'blackball" [her] from the recording industry by paying established artists....$50,000 each for their agreement to refuse to perform or record with her in the future..."
According to court docs Shaq wrote her one email that reads, "I dnt no who the fuk u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is all I gotta make no try me. Sho me." :pound:
The docs also allege Shaq sent her "an unsolicited vulgar and offensive illustration of a man physically restraining a woman while forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse with him."
O'Neal is scheduled to appear before a judge on Sept. 4.
A call to Shaq's rep was not returned.
UPDATE: MaryJane's lawyer, L. David Wolfe, tells us his client has known Shaq for 18 months. We're told Shaq has sent her multiple emails that have caused her concern.

$50K to not record or perform with somebody? That is a deal that would be tough to pass up.

When is the Shaq rap mix tape coming out where he disses her and claims this is all Kobe's fault? :pound:
