ESPN - LeBron aware that Nets, Knicks looking to snag All-Star in future - NBA (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3468173)
In no way do they get equal value in a trade but if he bolts his hometown team for the bright lights in 2010 and they get nothing wouldnt that make them look like even bigger idiots? How do they keep him pay him and still get good FA to come for nothing?

Sucks to be Danny Ferry doesn't it. Ferry should quickly start a record label, get a crew, start a clothing line, marry the "Hottest Chick In the Game", get some street cred, and become the Biggest Boss that you've seen thus far. Basically he needs to convince LeBron that it's cooler to be down wit' and roll with D-Fizzle than Jay-Z.

If I were a Cavs fan and they traded LeBron without at least putting up a fight to keep him, I'd find another team on the spot! Then again, if I were a Cavs fan I'd have bigger problems than that.

That's gonna be a tough one considering Danny Ferry is a total nerd.

I'd trade him. All this crap he's spouting would get on my nerves. They don't have the pieces to win a 'ship right now, and they're probably not going to by the time Bron's a FA. The writing is on the wall. He could snatch absolutely huge players in the trade market. The problem is explaining why you're trading away your superstar. You can't exactly say, "We're trading him because no matter what anyone does, he's leaving for the Brooklyn Nets in a few years."
