And Ben was only 26 when he came to the Pistons. Nazr is 29 and has been in the league for 8 years.
Ben, Ben, Ben, I'm so sick of hearing about Ben! Please try to remember his contribution in the playoffs this year..... Let's give our new team members some love! They aren't Ben Wallace but they are PISTONS and they are ours. Love to Nazr and Flip M.
You know easybenkets, you're right. I've ben thinking abent this for a while now and I benlieve that its ben long enough. Its abentime we move on. We've said our goodbens, now its time to let bengones be bengones I say.
We can't let bengones be bengones, bencause some people are still bent out of shape abent Ben's role in the benching and benishmet of Benko Benicic.
Good stuff... This is a similar response to when Stack was dealt... Ben there done that...let's just move on... maybe have some Ben & Jerry's to fogedaboudit
Excellent points. I say it is possible for him to achieve 12 + 10 for a solid night's work. This will open up things in the 6-12 ft. range and from here we should see higher offensive averages and rebounds being spread around. If Sheed and Tay step up then it will spread the floor and FM will attack the spread. Toward mid-season, I hope that offensively FM will be so strong that he will start in place of Tay with the latter coming as a defensive stopper. Much like Hunter's role. Most underestimate the contributions Hunter can make and will make. FM should make a huge difference for this club offensively. Those who voted for him in this poll are right-on.
EasyB, we get to break it off they don't deliever in the playoffs. TaS, between your recent Darko post and your "no good, best move, you're losin' me man. That's just ornery. P99, yes I want FlipM to be awesome but not at Tay's expense. Let's see if FlipM can carry Rips jock. Besides if BoogerG voted for him, I'm not sure how good my choice was.
TDF- I'm not saying that I don't think we made good moves. I'm just saying that you can still pick a best even if you don't think any were good. I personally liked the following moves:Not signing Ben at the $60MM levelThen picking up Nazr (the best available center)Re-signing Lindsay and giving him management roleI can't really comment on the JMax, Amir, Cheik moves because I don't think each one is terribly important. It's like buying stock options... if it doesn't work out, no big deal... if it does, then you get real returns. We have a nice portfolio of potential that we need to nurture.
Alright...[sigh] So most of them were good moves. But none of them was best. ;]
Amir was my choice. He's the 'potential' that I could never see in Darko. Second was Lindsey. Company man...keepin it light for co-workers...but can deal the pressure when it comes to crunch time 3) Signing Nazr was a little like putting toothpaste in the holes in your dorm room walls to avoid charges at the end of the year. I'm not raggin him or Joe...he was the best available to fill 'the hole'.
If we didn't have Nazr, we'd be screwed.
Took him from the enemy.
