I don't know if that's true, but Phoenix is simply a better team, and I don't think it would've made a difference one way or another. Warriors had to beat Denver and they simply failed to do so.
Portland Trailblazers thanked their fans in a pregame ceremony that had each player, starters and bench, men come down the stairs from various fan entry tunnels around the arena during the player intros so that each could slap hands with the fans as they each came down the steps. Of course they didn't let Greg Odom do this as they could not risk a fan tripping him and he comes tumbling down the steps. I'm shocked they let any player do it because a couple of them looked shakey negotiating those steps and slapping the fans palms at the same.
Spurs blow out UT, get the 3rd seed. PHO/SAS in the 1st round. I'm excited. Looks like the Lakers will be in the ECF waiting.

Here is my handicapping. 1st tier- Pistons (20%)/ Celtics (25%)/ Spurs (15%)/ Lakers (15%)- 75% chance the winner will come from this group. 2nd tier- Magic (4%)/ Cavs (3%)/ Hornets (10%)/ Jazz (3%)- 20% chance it will be from here 3rd- Rockets/ Suns/ Mavs/ Wizards- 4.9% chance of these guys winning Hawks/ Sixers/ Raptors/ Nuggets have almost a 0% chance IMO. .1% That's how I see it.
It was fan appreciation night at the palace on Tuesday and they were giving away game-worn jerseys from each Pistons player (not from that game though). Same deal at the Cavs game, except they gave away their shoes and their jerseys after the game.
And he will do his best to make sure one if not both make it there... Our guys have to play and think smart....complaining will get you sent to the bench for ticky tack fouls and ticky tack techs
Also, does anyone find it to be a coinsidence that the Bulls won the top pick? NBA is rigged towards the Lakers, Celtics and Bulls. Of course they need to be in the right position to win i.e. have a good team but if they are, LOOKOUT! How'd you like those touch fouls that kept goin' against the P's last night?
I think it gets a little ridiculous when we take any team that succeeds and says the league is rigging the NBA to favor this team.
Rigging/conspiracy theories can be ridiculous. Take this bit from a Celtics blog after the Pistons game 4 EC Finals win: Pierce seizes moment - Celtics Blog - Boston.com
Is a suspician like a Magician? Like these Boston fans. They all seem to be Suspicians to me. Maybe someone should show Bobby Z tape of Robert Parrish and KC Jones punching Bill Laimbeer.
Atlanta says they will match, but if the Sixers were to keep playing they way they did the second half of last season, and get Josh Smith, they will be plenty tough. RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Sixers Set To Meet With Josh Smith
