Wow, just scraped home. What a debacle from my RB's!! Again my luck turned bad with regards to guys I played. Last week I sat McGahee against NE while Parker had a dream matchup with CIN who stunk it up big time while McGahee torched NE.

This week I sat Parker who played NE and proceeded to outscore both my RB's who had terrible games. Luckily Brady returned to form against the best defense (which i sat thankfully) and Brandon Marshall scored 2 TD's. I love that guy! Witten also had a nice game unfortunately for you Lions fans.

So... a matchup with Ookie. I've been looking forward to this. Hopefully Addai won't score another 3 TD's but he has a very favourable game against OAK so maybe it will be 4!

Jammer and Darth will meet in the other Semi. Laimbs was unlucky Kolby Smith didn't do more against a pitiful DEN run D.

    Anyway, Bring it on!

    (oh it's already been brought!)

I can do a preview of both semi's later in the week once lineups have been set if you guys want.

Thanks for the match Woody. You almost did me in.

    Congrats, Webz!!

I got the most I could have out of my team, but it wasn't enough!

I didn't have any super stars. Not at QB, not at RB, not at WR, and not at TE. All the winners left have one or more of those players on their team.

It still helps to get off the bus with the best players. :)

Usually they call that bad drafting. :stirthepot:

I won't argue with the drafting shot, except to say that Both runningbacks I drafted got hurt. Ronnie Brown was tearing up the league until he went out in the fourth game. Delhomme, my number 2 QB went out in the second game. Todd Heap, my TE was injured all year.

By the way, How many injuries to your top players did YOU have. Must have been great drafting. :nerd2:

I have learned to just keep out of the drafts.

Jammer... :football: My worst two games came against your club. I'm in no mood for a repeat.

You had your share of injuries for sure, but I didn't get away completely injury free.

Andre Johnson went for 142 yards and a TD in Week 1 and then 120 yards and 2 TDs in Week 2 before going down to injury for the next 7 weeks and Santonio Holmes missed 3 games (and part of a 4th) with injuries. So two of my top 3 WRs missed a total of 10 games this season.

I've been lucky everywhere else though (knock on wood).

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some Taters to mash....

Ok, I've pretty much finished the preview for Darth v Jammer, just got mine v Ookie to do.

Because there is an early game this week which has fantasy implications for some of the teams I will post the previews either Wed night or Thu morning in their own threads where we can all comment/talk trash.

Don't feel obligated to keep your lineup the same obviously just because I wrote about it. Make all the changes you want.

    Good luck everyone!

I completely forgot that I have to face Laimbeer in the 5-6 playoff!

Oh well, I'll just use the same guys that almost knocked off Jammer. It should be a shoe-in!! :nerd2:

    Congratulations to **Jammer!!!!!

Your boys came to play, mine failed to show up against you for the THIRD time:hanged2:, and the outcome was never in doubt. A total blowout.

You kicked my butt and now I have to start a new playoff streak. The best team won :canada:and I wish you the best of luck in the final. :hail:

I'm hoping that I can win next week and get the bronze.

It's been a great year of fantasy football. :yo:

Congrats to Jammer and Webz, who are both headed to the championship. It's been a lot of fun, guys.

Well... despite Brady's monster performance *cough* I somehow came through with the win. I attribute it to solid if unspectacular games from nearly every one of my guys. And also thanks to Addai for not scoring 3 TD's against Oakland. In fact, he had quite a poor day luckily for me.

Special thanks also go out to Mason Crosby for his 19 point effort. Who says kickers are all the same! haha.

Onto the big one Jammer. I'm kind of scared of what LT and Andre Johnson are going to do, hopefully LT is in another blowout and sits on the bench for the 2nd half again.

But kudos to everyone who played this season. It was definitely a big learning experience for me. Firstly, trying to understand the actual game - thanks to the guys who helped answer questions like, "what is a PAT?" etc. Then secondly trying to figure out the fantasy side of the game. By the end of the season I found myself with an appreciation of the game despite my background of other football codes.

I think pre-draft homework helped me a lot as well as a lack of injuries and an un-lack of Brady obviously. Still, I'd like to think some of that comes under pre-draft homework.

I'll be playing next season for sure. Hopefully it will be as defending champion. Now I've just got to go and figure out some championship week smack talk to sling at Jamster.

Hey, what's the deal with the final matchups? Because there are 2 weeks left in the season, but this is supposed to be the last week for fantasy right?

Is it just this week we have to worry about or is it like fantasy bball where you get the last 2 weeks or so?

Just this week. We aren't using week 17 because some times teams that have nothing to lose or gain will sit their starters for the final game of the regular season.

Ok cool. I believe that's called Kevin Garnett week. I've had him the past 2 years and he sat out the final week/s both times to kill my fantasy chances.

Exactly. It sucks to win or lose that way. Especially for the Finals.

Good luck webz. May the best man (me) win.

Drats! I knew there was a reason why Kevin Garnett fell right to my lap on draft day this year. I'm gonna' drop this bum right away.

Since I like you, I'll trade you Gilbert Arenas for him straight up. Act now before I come to my senses.

It's tempting, but I already have Gilbert Arenas on my roster....
