I can tell you right now that some of you better look REAL HARD at who your starting. It's like you got Billups on the bench and Flip Jr starting.:nerd2:
Jammer and Bill: How does the scoring work? Are the lineups set daily or on some day during the week? For instance, could you have Manning as QB on Thursday, and then put him on the bench and have another QB on Sunday? Same with WRs. Could you play one group on the early games and another group on Sunday or Monday? When is the deadline for setting lineups and does it last all week through the Monday night game?? I'm new to this and I don't want Bezeach to send me to the bottom the very first week!! And then there's Darth. He's always playing all the angles, using cheat sheets, just being a real pain in the %%%%%. I've got a guy with a bum ankle. When do I have to declare him in or out? Or can I wait until just before the game to make that decision?? It's already Friday. Are my lineups set already for this week or can I still change them???
You can change your lineups up until 5 minutes before a game. For example, you could switch your quarterbacks back and forth as much as you want until 1 pm on Sunday. Once Carolina's game (1 pm kickoff) starts, though, you can't add or remove Delhomme as your starting quarterback.
Bill: You didn't really answer my question. You started Manning on Thursday. Now, can you bench him and start Garcia on Sunday, thus getting points from BOTH QBs in one week.
No. Once the Colts game started last night and I had Manning as my QB, that slot was locked. I can't change it again until next week. If you have a guy in a starting position and the game starts, you are committed to that guy for the week.
Sorry Woody, I worked late tonight. Bill is correct, you can change your lineups up until just before kickoff for each game. However, what really matters is the kickoff time of the player that is in the starting lineup. Let's use QBs for example, say you have player X currently in the starting lineup, but you want to change it to player Y. Once player X's game starts, he can't be moved. So even if player Y doesn't play until the next day, you're stuck with player X for the week. You can only earn points from 1 player per roster position per week. Monday night games count as well. It goes by NFL weeks, not calendar weeks. The week 1 match-up includes all games for week 1 of the NFL schedule, regardless of when they are played. This becomes even more important late in the season when teams start playing some Thursday games. Hope that made sense.
Back off Zark! My receivers are going to kill you guys! However since I got skunked in the Vegas big money football pools. Year in and year out, I may suck here too.
To those who don't know... Stat tracker is free this week. Just hit the "launch stat tracker" button to check it out. Also, usually on Thursday they update the "News & expert advice" section on the home page and they rank your players for that week (on a star system...5 being the best) based on the matchup that week. Don't take it as the gospel, but you might use it as a guide. Good luck to all this week...except Jammer, of course!
Typical Darth football season.:nerd2: All my points are on the bench. Rothlisberger with 30 and Adrian Peterson with 23. Still lots of guys haven't played, but I don't deserve to pull this one out. Next week I'll play those guys and they will get nothing while the guys I played this week will light it up... It's like clockwork...Just watch.:nerd2::nerd2::nerd2:
Bill, excellent pickup of Chris Brown. I've been considering picking him up ever since our draft. I was really close to doing it last week but decided that I wanted to see how he did this week first. The Titans have a bit of a crowded backfield and Brown missed most of last season with an injury. By the time I got home from work today and saw how he did, it was too late. Jerk.
My draft at the running back position was terrible. I have picked up a couple of free agent RBs since the draft. I'm up to 6 RB, although most of them are either hurt or 2nd string. My hope is that at least 2 of the 6 pan out. Your advice about Joey throwing to Atlanta receivers finally sank in. Picking up a Falcon WR would be like taking the Michigan Wolverines as your Defense.
ha-hah!! this is where drafting backup RB's in the mid-rounds pays off! I got plenty of good RB's. make me an offer guys. i could do with another WR.
I may be able to whip all our butts with my WRs. But some of you guys are sitting on some serious talent. That you can't use except to block others. Show some sac and make the big move.
