Well had you given me the #1 pick like I paid you to, I would already have Sidney Crosby on my team. But since my first pick was like #350, I already ended up with Tom Poti.
We've had our highest and lowest scoring totals so far this year in week #3 as well as a couple of very close match-ups and a couple of blowouts. Darth's 141.96 is a very impressive total, while Oz's 34.74 is the lowest completed week total I think I've ever seen (sorry Oz). Darth's Brian Westbrook alone, with 40.1 points, had more than Oz's entire team. Bezeach needs a career game from Marquis Colston and for Deuce McAllister to lay an egg to edge Thee. While I need 10.33 points for Drew Brees tonight to beat Mikhail in the only other undecided match-up and join Laimbeer and #1Pistonfan as the only remaining undefeated teams in the league.
Woody's Ronnie Brown put up 41.1 points (211 yards, 3 TDs, 1 PAT). Unfortunately for Woody, he was on the bench. Woody's 6 guys on his bench put up 91.24 points, enough to beat about half the teams in the league.
RIGHT!!! I learned two things this week: 1) I have a pretty good team: 2) I'm a very poor manager. As Bill noted, my bench is really good!! Unfortunately, I dropped Kitna in favor of Delhomme, and Ronnie Brown is favor of Deshawn Wynn. If I had just left my starters from the first two weeks in the lineup for the third week, I would have had about 150 points and be WAY out in front. It probably won't be the last mistake I make!
You would think 10.33 points for Drew Brees would be darn near automatic.... Half-way through the 2nd quarter, Brees has -0.76 points. I wonder if Jammer is getting a little nervous...
Brees has been absolutely GARBAGE so far this year. Luckily he has a bye week next week. Matt Hasselbeck here we come! Heck, at this point, I'd rather start Elisabeth Hasselbeck over Brees.
I think he is VERY nervous. I looked on the baseball fantasy league just now & noticed that he and Woody made a couple of acquisitions today. TODAY! :nerd2:I mean, nice pick ups but we set our lineups weekly on Sunday for the following week and the season ends this Sunday, so I have no clue what they are thinking. This isn't a keeper league. Yeah...he's nervous.
I'm not sure why it showed up for today, because I made the moves last night. They are in my starting lineup for this week. Didn't have much of a choice since Vernon Wells and Troy Glaus are both done for the season. Your boy Reggie Bush just screwed me big time Darth. Saints had the ball 1st and goal from the 1. Brees throws to Bush in the end zone for an easy TD and the ball goes RIGHT THROUGH HIS HANDS. Would have been an easy TD and 6 points for Brees. Next play Bush runs it in for the TD. Gee, thanks. P.S. I think you should be much more worried about your team than mine. But thanks for all the attention.
My team has scored pretty good points except for week one. I could easily be 2-1. That's why I don't like fantasy football too much. Webz had an awesome week but because I was the only team that had more than him, he comes away with nothing. Reggie Bush. Well, I'm glad he screwed you. I'm still taking offers on him. Best offer...if it's good, can have him. I need a receiver...I already have some garbage ones & mediocre ones. I need another good one. Bush is merely serving as insurance on my team.
I think Woody was countering Jammer's non-moves with non-moves of his own. It's a great 7 vs. 10 matchup to wrap up the season.
I thought you didn't like fantasy football because you suck, but I guess it's because you're in denial. Yeah, somehow I didn't think you'd be losing any sleep over it. Laugh it up Laimbeer, laugh it up. Now if you kids will excuse me, I have a 2nd half to [STRIKE]worry about[/STRIKE] watch.
Drew Brees with two passes that get stopped right at the goal line...only to see Reggie Bush eventually run it in for the score. It must hurt to see Brees miss out on those TDs. That's got to be painful to watch, Jammer.
