Robert Lang is absolute garbage. Completely useless.

Horrible effort by the Wings. Too soft, too slow.

I'm furious. What a way to go to sleep.

Good thing I can't see it on TV, just listening to the radio. This is frustrating. Why can't Dom steal a game for us. That would go a long way.

It's not Dom. It's everyone playing with their head down, showing the signs of defeat.

There are only a handful of guys who played well. Bertuzzi, Draper, Fippula, Cleary. The defense keeps letting us down. A miscue by Chelios cost us, and Lidstrom is now getting beat consistently (and badly).

Btw, does Lilja know what area code the net is in? I swear every one of his shots is off by 10 feet.

I didn't see the winning goal in the second period, but the Flames second goal scored/shot by Conroy from the left in the first period was the killer in my opinion as Hasek just got caught flat footed there.

I guess I haven't watched that many hockey games lately, but I never seen a team drop to the ice as many times as the Flames did on that last Wings power play to sacrifice their bodies to block a shot at the goal. Talk about protecting a lead and your home ice!!!

Looks like this one is going seven!!

I am not blaming Dom, I wouldn't. It's just that it would be cool if he could steal one on the road for the team. Kipper tried really hard in D-town.

I got Dish. I dunno what they show, but it doesn't really matter. I would have to record the game to watch later on because of the time difference and the baby. He needs attention in the eve. :cold:

We got home ice let's give it a chance. This time last year "mo" turned 180* against us.

    Big Weekend in Detroit!

Wings vs. Flames in a tight series

Pistons vs. Grant Hill/ Darko Milicic/ and Carlos Arroyo

    Tigers vs. Whitesox, division rival

    And nice weather.

Anyone going to all 3? I wish I could make it back there.

    Holy Cow!!!

Dan Cleary just scored on a PENALTY SHOT!

The Wings were shorthanded on a Chelios penalty, Cleary and Maltby had a 2 on 1 break away, Cleary got dragged down and he converted the darn penalty shot!

Actually made Kiprusoff look bad! :D

    WHOOO HOO! GO WINGS!

Zetterberg just scored, Wings up 2-0. Blasted a shot right past Kipper on the PP.

I am so pumped up! :D

Oh lord, Cleary just ran into the boards and he's been down on the ice for a couple minutes with the doctors over him.

They are bringing out a stretcher. This is so scary.

They took the stretcher away, and he's able to walk off to the locker room with help.

Whew. I hope he is ok.

I didn't know you liked hockey Roscoe.

Nothing like home cooking. :) Wings are about to take a 3-2 series lead.

    Any word on Cleary?

Cleary came back and is playing.

Wings up 4-1. Wings just allowed a goal, the body language has been bad as they are now just playing to protect the lead.

The only Canadians who don't like playoff hockey are recent immigrants.

It's like a cult up here.

    Wings win 5-1.

Game got really thuggish at the end. Flames totally lost their composure.

I hope they play like that in Calgary and march to the penalty box.

Btw, I love Canada but the CBC (national TV) is so unbelievably biased. Their entire production is geared towards showing everything the Wings do that could be illegal. At one point, they were calling interference where there was no contact...

When the Calgary backup goaltender took a dead puck two handed slash on Johan Franzen and dropped him to the ice (it looked like a wicked slash), the announcers said, "It didn't look that bad...". Heck, you're not supposed to wield the stick like a weapon, that guy should be banned from the playoffs.

I have to sort of agree that there looked to be a little acting on that hit to the chest. When he stayed down, I figured he got hit in the face, but the replay showed it was only to body. Still, that was uncalled for.

What was that goalie doing in there anyway? It was obvious he was looking for a cheap shot right when he started. He wasn't in long enough to get angry.
