Heard the announcers in the Den/Pho game say that CB hit 46 straight FT's. He made 2 right after that. Seems like a pretty decent streak. Odds of a 90% FT shooter making 48 straight are 6 in 1000.
The Magic have now swept two western foes in the Lakers and Spurs this season.....the question is are they for real and can they get out of the east to meet one of those teams in the finals. No question, the Pistons days of being one of the top two teams if not the best in the east is over and we can only look up at the three division leaders as teams we can only hope that we can get past in a 7 game series...
They've been playing well since EB got injured. Back to the style of last year, and the coach now allows them to shoot 3's. The confidence of the players is through the roof right now. And Thaddeus Young is just ridiculous.
The final, talley was 48 points as the scrubs for each team scored 26 points in the final stanza. 129-81, but the 103-55 score at the end or three just looked like some high school score.
In other NBA action, Kobe made up for Bynum injury by scoring 61 points in the Lakers 126-117 over the Knicks. The Knicks had won 6 of 7 before this game. Kobe was 19-31 from the field and 20-20 from the FT line. The Hornets were up 72-55 with 1:30 left in the third when Chris Paul went down with a strained right groin and the Blazers closed the game on a 42-17 run to win the game 97-89 No CP# no win. In the Magic-Mavs game, Jameer Nelson left the game in 3rd qtr with a dislocated right shoulder as the Mavs defeated the Magic in Orlando... with a 19-6 run once the Nelson went down. with Nelson down for awhile, the Magics hope of sticking with the top two and possibly stealing the #2 seed is probably over..... The Heat win by 26 over the Clippers and move ahead of the Pistons for 5th seed in the east Wade scores 32 points including 10-12 from the line and I saw him pump fake at least 3 Clippers into fouling him....look out Stuckey and Afflolo (if he gets to play Wednesday).
Where ever the Magic go on the bracket, we need to position opposite them. If Jameer is out, then we'll have to play better to go get that 6 spot. Kobe 20-20 from the FT line? What a jerk.
To bad we are not good enough to catch up and snatch third seed record wise..... We are 10.5 games behind the Magic. They can probably hold on the 3rd seed playing .500 ball the rest of season so maybe it is a good idea as some have suggested to play for the sixth spot and face the Magic in the first round, the question is who's to say the Atlanta or Miami won't try to do the same.
G-State just jumped out on Phx, 17-2 in under 3 minutes. SJax and Azee-book-ay haven't missed a shot yet, going 6 for 6 from the field, with 5 three pointers.
Key Injuries Magic rolled over Clippers by 29 points despite not having Jameer at the point as his replacement Anthony Johnson dropped 25 pts, hitting 6 three pointers. Without CP3, the Hornets were drilled at home by da bulls 107-93 Without Bynum, the Lakers continue to roll just getting by the Raptors who were without Bosh in the 4th qtr. with an injury. Kobe and Gasol combined for 67 points after scoring 92 between the the two on them vs the Knicks on Monday. Not to be out media-hyped, Lebron goes into "da gahden" tonight and drops 52 points on the defensively challenged Knicks ,as Cavs hold on to win 107-102. Who do you think was more productive Madison Square Garden this week Kobe or Lebron? Kobe 61 pts, 0 boards, and 3 assists ..............KB 20-20 from the line Lebron 52 pts, 10 boards and 11 assists......... LBJ 16-19 from the line Celtics play in the garden on Friday, should we take any bets that Pierce goes off for at least 40??
If he missed a shot, he chose not to go after the rebound. When the Knicks missed he was already half way down the court chatting with Spike Lee and waiting for the outlet pass
Elton Brand is out for the rest of the year for the sixers. What a waste of money for them. Report: Sixers' Brand faces more surgery, out for season - The Delaware County Daily Times : Serving Delaware County, PA(DelcoTimes.com)
KG went down. WAS is down 30+ to DEN, OKC in the process of blowing another lead, ORL lost to INDY, and NOH continues it's freefall. There's rumors of them trading Chandler. Random post i know LOL.
