Yeah, I noticed that last week as well.

In other news, the top two squads have clinched playoff berths.

    Playoff time.

Will the Sprockets, who handily took down BC Kyiv last week 8-1 guaranteeing home court advantage in the first round, return this week, or will the team who forgets to score show up? You never can tell.

Uh, I guess home court advantage isn't all that useful in fantasy basketball. Hope I didn't burn the guys out trying to get it.

I'm so horrible in this league. I don't know what happened to my team.

The guys from or related to the city of Chicago have all of the edge.

    Actually they do this week.

It is a fantasy rarity, but Chicago and (Phoenix?) play FIVE games this week. So people with those players should do well.

How do you know how to set your roster for the playoffs if you don't know your opponent yet? I guess you just look at the scores on Sunday night and guess who will pull it out?

Luckily, I've secured a bye week due to my regular season record and do not have to worry right now. Just curious on others strategy though.

It is odd. I set mine for this week assuming one opponent and got another, though with my team it's less about matchups and more about who isn't injured this week.

Besides, the Sprockets don't worry about no stinking matchups. We play our game our way and force the opposition to adjust to us. Of course, we did finish 4th.

This season, the Michael Curry influence on the Sprockets is strong.

I wonder how many fantasy folks get shafted by the teams resting their stars more before the NBA playoffs? It would seem that towards the end of the season, stats will suffer for players like Lebron, Kobe, KG, etc, who are on teams that clinch their seeding before the season ends.

This may make for an interesting final two weeks in the fantasy world. :D

Mossberg, I want you to win too. I want us all to be winners. But dba has been in the novice league for 3 years I think. We gotta get him a win or a very good showing to bump him up to advanced.

Roscoe, in that case we gotta get YOU a win too.

Anyhow, he can have my spot. I'm done with basketball. Wait, wasn't DBA in advanced last year ?

btw...DBA is one of the teams I always root for too. He's not obnoxious like that Darth guy. :)

I think this is only my second year in novice. Maybe...

And yeah, the last week of the playoffs gets tough as guys are rested. This year though only the Cavs and Lakers might end up doing that too much. Everybody else is in a playoff position dogfight. If you are relying on Kobe or LBJ it might bite you. And since that's the top two teams in our league, it makes it pretty interesting.

Who is Sheed for MVP? Is this an abandoned team? Elton Brand has been in this guy's starting lineup for the entire season. How the hell did he make the playoffs? lol :D

Caron Butler is getting some injured playing time too.:)

On one hand, having the opposition playing a couple of injured guys is a good thing because you're more likely to beat them. On the other hand, losing to a ghost ship would be pretty embarassing.

We had an owner do that with Brand in the advanced league too, but he finished around 45 games out and in dead last.

I don't know why but it seems like it happens all the time in our basketball leagues. It seems like a couple of guys quit in every league.

Oddly, I don't recall it happening nearly as much in football, hockey, and baseball leagues.

I'm thinking of ways to more carefully screen people, but these are really good guys that are doing it sometimes, so it is often unexpected.:mmph:

How hard is it to check your roster once a week, or in this person's case, even check it once a month to ensure Elton Brand doesn't get any PT?:D

I will admit, I am personally hooked on Fantasy BBall now after my first season.

I found it hard to watch games this year, because I would be rooting for the Pistons, but they would be playing against some of my fantasy players at the same time. LOL

I found myself saying, "I hope the Pistons win, but I hope my fantasy guy on the other team scores 60, dishes 15, and boards 15 in a loss to the Pistons" LMAO!
