I just woke up and what I saw: I've got a team!
OMG...I had to go to a party...darn it. Oh well. The CPU choosed Kidd over Brandon Roy....FAIL.
Yeah, you just had to go to a party. And you just had to have fun. And you just had to lambada.
I've heard it all before.
It must be very embarrassing for roscoe: he does hard work for setting up noob league but what his novices do? One slept(me) another was partying...
who the hell is john salmons.!??!?
sorry i couldn't make the draft. We left right before....I think i have a team with a ton of potential. Oden, Rose, Beasley. It's a gamble, but I live in Chicago and I have seen enough to know that Rose will score a lot. Just a question of when he gets comfortable with playing in the NBA.
I'll play around with it more. I want to see who other teams got. This should be fun.
Trust me...you'll like Salmons. He put up good numbers playing behind Artest...now he's the starter.
Novices, get your lineups set ASAP! if you have injured players in your lineups, you will need to adjust them to the bench.
Do not delay, the season starts tomorrow, and rosters are locked for the week tonight at midnight!
i thought the season started wednesday. does it lock for the week every sunday?
Yessir. Please set your lineup ASAP. Don't dilly dally.
Also, Milwaukee plays 4 times next week, so if you have bucks, even if they are sucky bucks, PLAY THEM!
Yahoo seems to have neglected to draft any centers for me. Oops.
Oh man, I'm hating this weekly setting thing. If you add / drop a player he won't be available until the next week.
Is it somewhat possible to see your roster and NBA schedule on screen at the same time in Yahoo FL? It is irritating to click between tabs....
Hey, if you add a guy, he should be available tomorrow!
You have to advance to MONDAY of any given week to edit your rosters.
Available in kind of a theoretical sort of way, but with no way to add him onto the active roster which can only be set once. I think.
What's the thinking behind weekly settings? I guess it's a little easier in that you don't have the opportunity or need to think about it during the week (although you can set each upcoming day once a week too). But since every team has a couple of lesser players wouldn't they always end up on the bench? So basically those bottom guys are only there in case one of the better guys gets injured?
P.S. I take it I ended up with the #1 pick last night? I can't imagine any other way I snagged Chris Paul.
If you change players now, you can adjust them by advancing the day of the week to Monday. Or at least you should be able to.
The idea behind weekly lineups is that it takes away from people dropping and adding guys to get extra games in during the week. It's also simpler.
If you pick up someone on the waiver wire today (which I did), they don't become available until Monday November 3rd (according to Yahoo), which of course is too late to put them in any games for this week.
I guess the purpose of the waiver thing (which I never really saw the point of before) is to stop you from completely changing your roster every day by adding and dropping players. Anybody you grab off the waiver wire doesn't join your team for a day or two. Probably flying across country in their fantasy jets.
You demented ideologue. (Sorry, couldn't resist, I just saw that thread.)
I'm sorry D about you not having centers.
Maybe a small ball team is your future? I'm playing big ball. I'd be happy to trade you TJ Ford in a couple weeks. :D
At first I wanted to cry. Now, I have embraced my dementia and wear it like armour.
I can put the best playground team on the floor you can imagine - Chris Paul, Iverson, Baron Davis, Andre Iguodala, and Vince Carter, with Lamar Odom on the bench. And Paul and Davis even rebound, sort of.
