    Jumpshooting team needs jumpshooter's coach.

Hire flip as a coach and you'll be fine.

But they only lost by 14 points and to a division one team (not like Appalaichian State) that wasn't from the MAC (like Toledo).

Seems like U of scUM should be VERY happy about that.

Overall, I am OK with how my draft turned out in my absence. Ballaholics, lets get it!

shaq was on the waivers. not that i would take him, but it is a little odd to think he isn't a top 10 center anymore.

Snaq ain't what he used to be. 14 managers in Adv League with 13 players to a team and no one drafted him.

Anyone know why I can't set my lineup? The rosters are locked for some reason.

Probably because of the weekly sets. You need to set the lineup before midnight on Sunday for the whole week - one lineup for all games that week.

Weekly rosters, deadline was Sunday at 11:59:59 PM.

There is a notice on the league page that rosters were changed to weekly, and I mentioned it here as well.

You can set lineups for next week, by advancing to Monday Nov 3 and adjusting. You must have this done by Sunday 11:59:59 PM, Nov 2.

Why set them to weekly as it limits your ability to sub in and out to adjust for injuries, etc? I understand it's fantasy basketball but doesn't it take some of the strategy out of it? What if you want to pick-up someone off waivers to replace an injured or underperforming player? You have to wait a whole week to do that?

Have you read this thread? Did you vote on the draft poll? Have you been keeping up on the league? Did you show up to draft?

I'm not trying to be mean, but you're too late to complain if you show up the day of the season start and suddenly have complaints.

Weekly was chosen because it removes any advantage from roster jugglers. It also assists the people who can't set and follow lineups daily (you may be a candidate for this). Yes, injuries happen. Randomly. To all of us. We're all working under the same rules.

I will also add that although some of the strategy of daily maintenance is removed, weekly lineups can be just as strategic.

For example... do you play Kobe for 3 games or Michael Redd for 4?

It also encourages GMs to make trades instead of making a living on the waiver wire.

My name is Motown Pride and I support this message. :)

I think that's exactly right. I got hung up on the weekly thing too (mostly because I hadn't done it that way before and didn't really figure out what weekly meant), but I like that it makes it less about who has the most player games in a week. That's still important obviously, but having to make tradeoffs about Kobe for 3 or Redd for 4 as MTP says makes it pretty interesting. And has the advantage of only requiring you to think strategically once a week.

Wow. Coming off a little defensive if you ask me. I just asked a question as a)what is a "bench" for if you can't play them and b) I've never played in a league where this was a rule.

    Sorry for asking about it.

    I'm not defensive. I'm disappointed.

Like I said, I'm not trying to be mean, but if you don't like the settings, you had ample opportunity to make your bones about it when it mattered.

Now the league settings are locked by Yahoo.

Let's try to make the best of this.

    I'll take this one.

Based on the example I gave, you can obviously play a bench. Your rational for using bench players will be based on injuries and games played. I don't think Roscoe was trying to come off rude/defensive any more than you were trying to come off unappreciative for the effort that it took to get to this point. As a Commissioner its important to be firm about the rules and stick with them just as its important as a GM to do research before questioning league decisions. Had you done so you would have noticed that Roscoe was very clear with his communication. I'd just take it as a lesson learned and take it out on him in the fantasy basketball arena. ** I like your chances *** lol.
