Well, I'm pretty excited that the Phillies just beat the Dodgers 3-2 in game 1 of the National league championship series thanks to a Chase Utley 2 run blast and a Pat Burrell dinger in the bottom of the 6th. Anyone else have any interest in either series? Probably not...
I'm so through with baseball! They definitely need to shorting the season. It takes too long to make it to the playoffs in baseball!! But I want the Phillies to win the whole thing.
The ratio of regular season effort to playoff participation seems really frustrating in baseball. Think how much effort the Cubs went through this year, only to play 3 baseball games in the playoffs on their way to joining the Tigers as losers. Off season workouts, spring training, 162 nearly consecutive games of being constantly on the road, and a quick flameout at the end. And they were one of the best teams this year.

Rays won last nite in St Pete. against New England(can't even say Bos$%@)... I'm hoping they win it all. It will show just how far the Tigers have fallen.

The Dodgers are capable of a come back, but I think it's unlikely. The Phillies have so many talented batters. They hit homers and have guys that steal bases too. They have starting pitching and a reliever that hasn't lost a game this entire season. Plus they've got the momentum and 2 of the remaining 3 possible games are in Philly. The Dodgers have...Manny. I'm thinking you are going to be taking your cousin's money. I definitely plan to watch the game tonight.
