I wanted Fillies to win. The Dodgers showed up the same way the Lions show up.:gun1:

So much for your prognosticating. Does this mean you were wrong on Sparty vs. Buckeye too? :(

Looks like Joe Madden over thought this one first by leaving his pitchers in toolong in the 7th and 8th and then pitching to JD Drew again....

7-0 lead and losing this one can come back to haunt the Rays if this ALC series goes the distance

    Pretty exciting.

Bottom of the 8th and Tampa up 3-1. I'm rooting for Tampa. The Bosox lineup is scary. I'd rather the Phils face inexperienced Tampa.

I am pulling for the Rays in the series....I'd like to see the newbies show the Tigers what a team of 24 year olds and no super star egos can do with team work and execellent pitching. Even the team president looked he was less than 30..

The phillies have a lot of gamers too, but let the Rays rule this year.

I learned yesterday that they dropped the "Devil" off of their name at the beginning of the year. Something about a new beginning or something.

Nothing against the Rays. I like them. But GO Phillies!

    Before this season...
Rays have never won more than 70 games in any season.
The Phillies are the losingest franchise in professional sports history.
    A battle of the giants.

It's about this year. Who cares what they were doing 50 years ago? None of the guys playing were even alive.

This year they are the best two teams. I think the last few World Series went 4-0 and 4-1. A battle of Giants?

Well so far through 5 innings, B J Upton has killed 3 Rays rallies, grounding into double plays in the 1st and 3rd innings and then popping out in foul territory with a man on second in the 5th..... shades of Brandon Inge....

In fact the nervous Rays look like the 06 tigers, silly mistakes and a step slow and trailing by only one.

Based on the crowd noise, it seems like there were more Phillies fans there than Rays Fans.... and this game was in Tampa...:sssh:

OK, the quote of the series is by Jimmie Rollins in my opinion

“Luck be a lefty,” Jimmy Rollins said of McGraw.

    Here's why:

    The Phillies Zone - philly.com

Tug McGraw raised his arms toward the heavens after he recorded the final out in the 1980 World Series. It is the iconic moment for a Phillies franchise that has won just one World Series championship in its first 125 years.

Tugger’s spirit could be felt last night at Citizens Bank Park.

    Ya Gotta Believe?

    Oh, yeah.

Tim McGraw, Tug’s famous country-singing son, spread some of his father’s ashes on the mound before Game 3 of the World Series. About four hours later, after a 1 hour, 31 minute rain delay, Carlos Ruiz chopped a ball down the third-base line with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to score the winning run in a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays to give the Phillies a two-to-one lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Phillies can take command of the series with a victory tonight in Game 4.

The luck came early. The magic came late.
