2 meetings with the Magic in the first week of November, at least 2 W are guaranteed. My prediction is 5-0 after the first 5 games.
Seriously though the stretch from the 14th to the 25th is really tough.

November is gonna be tough. I heard we got 23 back-to-backs, but its cool cause we are young. We should be able to run most teams out of the building, like the Cavs, and the Celts.

Fans outside of Detroit have to make a decision if we want to pay the League Pass charge for a mediocre team.

Pistons will only be on national TV only 9 times. 5 NBA-TV appearances, 4 ESPN appearances and no ABC or TNT appearances... It's official, no one thinks we will be competitive so no constructive criticism from Barkley and Kenny the Jet.

Meanwhile the Clippers have at least 13 nationally televised game including 3 on TNT and 5 on ESPN, and the defending champ Lakers will be on the tube 24 times including 8 on TNT, 10 on ESPN and 6 on ABC.

    Re: Month 1

I see 7-9 after the first 16 games. After that, the next 20 or so will test the [strike]plastic[/strike] mettle of this team.

For me it is to early to make any predictions on a team with a new coach, three new parts and 2-3 new rookies. Look how many people predicted 50 wins and the third best record in the league after last years schedule was released.

Let me get back to you after 10 games....afterall Joe might trade Rip four games into the season:):sssh:

Yeah, and those same experts were picking Denver to be 8/9 in the West.

Key information was missing when those predictions were made.

Can we get a public poll up about what the Pistons record will be after the first month so we can weed (mmmmmm weed) out all the haters?

Pistons will be UNDEFEATED after the first month! (October)

I'd handle starting a poll for you Ern but I have no idea how to do it.
I think Roscoe taught me once (...or was it Thee), anyway, - I was pretty baked at the time and...

    ...what was I sayin?

It will be like the Finals started early opening against Memphis, OKC and Illwaukee. You know the Pistons will be up for those games...........

The Pistons might, might, lose Nov 3rd against Orlando because they'll be due for a let down after opening against the big 3. They'll run the table after that though.

I think the Pistons will lose to a Lakers team looking for revenge (plus with a lot of help from the refs) on Dec 20th. They will go 14-1 for the month for a record of 30-2 to start the new year.
