I haven't heard anyone talk about the kicker (People rarely do). Is this guy any good? He could make or break the season. We had a really good one last year. The kicker wins and loses a couple of games every year. Is this new guy any good?
Rivals.com College Football - College football Week 1 primer Montana State at Michigan State, noon THE BUZZ: Michigan State is breaking in a new quarterback (Kirk Cousins) and a new running back (Caulton Ray). Former Oregon player Cody Kempt is FCS member Montana State's starting quarterback. THE LINE: No line. THE PICK: Michigan State 44-13.
I'm geeked! Dantonio has been very impressive in his first couple years. Looks like he's turning things around after MSU's many inept coaching hires and is finally establishing a decent program
I think you guys should schedule some REAL competition for the season opener if you want to call yourselves a good program... Brigham Young Cougars vs. Oklahoma Sooners Preview, September 5 2009 - NCAA College Football - ESPN
Sparty up 28-0 at the half. Four passing touchdowns. Both quarterbacks have thrown two. Four different receivers have made them. Still, it's only against a Division 1AA team so you can't get overly excited, but they are taking care of business. GO SPARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
44-3. Could have punched another in but didn't want to rub it in. Some good stuff from the quarterbacks. Too many dropped balls. Running game still a question mark. OSU and Iowa BARELY won today.
Reminder of a NEMO prediction Here, an 8 win season is predicted. It's been tough for State to put 2 winning seasons together. They need to Blow out Montana State in the opener. Should win by at least 42-7. Anything less spells doom for the program. Actual score was 44-3...
Spartans favored by 14.5 over CMU. That seems about right. However, this game probably won't be easy. CMU has a good team but lately Sparty wins the games they are supposed to win and likewise loses the ones they are supposed to lose. Let's see how that offensive line and running game functions. GO MSU GREEN! (Wolverines 3 point home underdogs to the Irish).
This game is being billed as the battle between the two best football teams in Michigan. MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY VS. CENTRAL MICHIGAN
Can't we just merge this and the Shock thread into one? It's annoying going back and forth between them.
Pretty cool that this game is being televised out here in Montana. My friend wanted to know what conferences these two teams were in. He hadn't heard of either one. Of course you know why...
Ask him if he's heard of U of M. I remember them making the news when they lost to that community college team...Appalaichian State. Now, be nice or I will go and crap in your U of M thread tomorrow after Notre Dame brings them back to reality.
Darth...you know the real game this year is when State goes for 2 in a row against their big brother. Everybody's heard of UM. They've been on TV for over 400 games straight. That, my friend is an NCAA record....
