He will become another "Christian Laettner or Eric Montross' kind of player in the NBA.

I say somewhere in between those two and Brian Scrubaline, Scot Pollard or Austin Croshere...:bow1:

Ok I will give him a little more credit and rate him right above Jeff Foster...:granade:

I don't think Hansbrough will be a bust, simply because the expectations for him at the next level aren't all that high to begin with.

I doubt he even gets taken in the first round.

Nah man, Jeff Foster used to kill the Pistons with the Pacers a few years ago. I think I remember him getting a 10 pt, 20 rebound game at the Palace in the 2005 playoffs. That guy has my respect.

By the way JZ, Christian Laettner was actually a solid pro and had some really good seasons with the Timberwolves early in his career. He was also 6'11", 230 lbs with great touch.

Hansbrough is like 6'7" and he relies on pure brute strength to score... that won't cut it in the NBA against bigger and longer opponents and he has no athleticism to speak of. Laettner was picked third in his draft. I think it's silly to compare the two IMO.

I've watched a lot of film on him and he is something else, worthy of the first overall IMO :mmph:

I'd like it if we had another Bill Laimbeer in the league. Go get em Tyler.

I'd take him as a low 1st rounder or high 2nd rounder.

Dude has a lot of character. He's a hard worker and seems like the kinda player that would thrive on proving everyone wrong. He's definately not the most "athletic" cat but he has that "it" factor that winners seem to have.

He's no Trent Plaisted, but he might just prove all of the haters wrong.

We could deal toronto second round and detroit first round for a lower first round of Bucks, toronto or Nets to have Earl Clark or Deman Derozan? I don´t see him playing but is the position we need in roster,a center decent starter i think it´s imposible without lotery.

Our second round must be Sergio llull,PG starter or Real Madrid desplacing to the bench Raúl Lopez to the bench this year.
21 years old, hard play and good shot %.
If Dumards pick Sergio and let him one more year in Real madrid playing in elite team in acb league and euroleague in 2010 could sign him paying escape clausule as salary(second round has no problem of limit salary first year).

Sergio LLull is a young and fastest calderon but with more usa player, less classical pg like Jose Calderón.

We have #15 in the draft. I was looking at Earl Clark. He seems to fit the bill. There are really no highlights to go off of though.

Joe's dilemma will be do you take the best player available at 15, or the best big man?? In other words are you looking at the best center or PF to address your needs or look to an Earl Clark who may or might not be the best to adapt and fit right in.

Clark is a Josh Smith prototype according to the ESPN Insider, but I could not find any videos on him yet. here are his stats

Earl Clark Stats, News, Photos - Louisville Cardinals - ESPN

If Tay is still around next year, he can start and then transition the position to Clark mid season and Tay can be his back up and the fresh defensive stopper when we need him slow down Lebron, Wade and Pierce

The Pistons got 3 2nd rounders to go along with #15. Joe is going to have to work hard to trade all those picks away.

I believe so, it is based on the final record.

Yep the Pistons have the worst record of the non lottery teams and owned their 1st round pick. We will have to wait and see if Joe decides to trade it or not....

Phx has the best record of the non Playoff teams but finished ahead of the Pistons interms of a better record so they would get the 16th pick.

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but I get the feeling Joe will end up picking someone no one ever heard of. Joe's high picks are usually very obvious and often iffy (people know about who he's gonna pick weeks before the draft, usually a virtual unknown at first, like Stuckey).

Joe looks for diamond in the rough like Jerry West use to do, but Joe's only draft pick to pan out was Tay in 2002 and now Prince is getting raked over the coals seven years later as if his best days are waaaaaaaaaaaaay behind him.

His only lottery pick was a bust {Darko} and all of the other midround and late selections have not lived up to Joe's hype and evaluation and the jury is still out on Stuckey... We will give him credit for the Memo second round pick in 2001 as he was there to help win the 2004 ring and he has been a nice starter for the Jazz since his departure.
