There are more reasons than just talent that the Pistons are a top notch franchise year after year. First, they are profitable, own their arena and practice facility. The front office staff is pretty much as good as any in the league. They don't rush their draft picks into the lineup. They have Arnie Kander, who keeps a lot of guys healthy and extends their careers (even if it is all mental). They have a culture that doesn't tolerate malcontents or thugs.
My inside source tells me that me that Chris Bosh wants to sign with Detroit. Amare wants to be a west coast man.
Either is more then good enough, they both have their pro's and con's so if Bosh wants to go to Detroit that's a big gain as far as I'm concerned. I also think Bosh is a more 'low key' player better suited to Detroit! Amare does have playoff experience and probably a better game but may not suit into this sort of oganisation.
I'll take the player who is 30 years old. Shooting 23 points per game career. Collecting 9 rebounds per game career. 87% free throw shooter career. 38% three point shooter career. All 7' 0" is good enough for this observer. Plays much more agile then his height. Admired by Shaq as the "big man of the future." Dirk Nowitski...
I don't see any of those guys leading any team to a championship. I think that Johnson or Bosh could be the second guy on a championship team.
Good point. I guess the question that bears asking is if Rodney Stuckey could be the first guy on a championship team.
Don't sleep on Amir Johnson. He could lead a team to a championship. It would be an NBDL title but still..........
Man, read the signature. Chris Bosh has the offense that would replace Sheed except the 3 pointer, but honestly all CB4 needs to do is learn defense. Just dream if Sheed coached Chris Bosh???? That would be amazing. Amar'e is hella good and a decent undersized center, but if he needs a really good PG to be effective. I dunno if Stuckey would give him those Steve Nash passes.
