    Excerpts:

A win at Penn State this weekend will clinch at least a tie for the Big Ten title and perhaps a trip to the Rose Bowl. There's only one small problem.
You need Ohio State to lose.
And who are the Buckeyes playing? Your hated rivals from Ann Arbor, of course.
"I can't root for Michigan," Spartans wide receiver B.J. Cunningham said. "But I hope they win."

And the Wolverines? They aren't too thrilled with this state of affairs, either. Michigan defensive end Ryan Van Bergen, who is from Whitehall, Mich., said he doesn't recall the Spartans ever rooting for the Wolverines.
    "It's grotesque," Van Bergen said.

Boise State LOST!!! You all talked like the Rose Bowl was beneath you if you didn't get the National Championship game. Screw you and your weak arse schedule. You get NOTHING. See you in East Lansing in 2012 losers!!!:loser::dancingparty::dancingparty::dancingparty:

(I hope there are no BSU fans on this forum).

It was sad to see Boise State lose. :pound: But just think of Alabama fans. They had a big lead against Auburn and had outgained them 312-2 yards at one point, only to lose it all...

Good job Nick Saban...:pound::pound::pound::pound: Darth..ya gotta laugh at Nick after he left MSU..:)

Looks like Okla. State or Stanford will get MSUs BCS Bowl game. They just won't take three teams from the Big Ten with those two having good years.

    Yeah, I don't like Saban.

MSU probably loses to Penn State anyhow. I truly don't care about a BCS game. I wasn't expecting it.

Different sites have been projecting MSU vs. Alabama in the Capital One for a couple of weeks now. But Bama lost and we may too so who knows?

I just hope Sparty finally wins a bowl no matter which one it is. I'm sure MSU will get a decent one. It's fun to speculate, but in the end it doesn't matter to me.

Yeah, Bama losing killed BSU and then BSU killed themselves later by also blowing a big lead. :pound:

Anyhow, U of M may just knock off Ohio State. You never know.

BSU was less than stellar in the second half, but they pulled off a few miracle plays to give themselves chances to win. That 70(?)-yard desperation throw to set up a gimme field goal was amazing. The kicker choking and missing those field goals goes right up there with that New Orleans Saints missed PAT to lose the game a few years ago. Wow. Too bad, since I think Boise State had a more compelling case for a national championship berth than TCU. But TCU is happy today! Down with the BCS!

Maybe the forum's best prediction of the year (or ever). You were perfect nemo. Kudos.

Awesome season. Really happy that something went well in Michigan sports this year.

Also glad that the coach got to see it all.

Champs is sweet after all these years :) but the BCS blows :gun1:

MSU thumped Wisconsin. Whisky beat OSU. MSU-OSU wasn't played this season. Take your pick for OSU's biggest win: Miami (just fired their coach), Iowa, or Penn State?

Yes...Sparty laid a turd in the corn at Iowa a week after eating the badgers, but how in the hell is Wisconsin projected to go to the Rose Bowl? Bielema running up scores the last few weeks against under-manned opponents?

The BCS is even more laughable cuz 7-4 Uconn (beaten thoroughly by UM) could get an automatic qualifying BCS bowl bid as winner of the Big Least (despite not facing a ranked opponent all season) over 11-1 Big 10 Co-Champ MSU.

The BCS has to go. Bring on a playoff system

They used to have a tie-breaker where the team which had been away from the Rose Bowl the longest would return first. Now, they let some voters determine the outcome. The voters were really sad that Iowa beat State, because they couldn't finish off other good teams. Personally, I think MSU would beat OSU if the two played next week. I'm amazed how the voters forgot that MSU - Wisconsin even played....

I would leave OSU out of the BCS because they lost to Wisconsin...and Wisconsin lost to MSU. Besides they've been to the BCS 6 straight years and haven't fared very well over that time.

Here are some early bowl projections:

Sparty vs. Bama in Capital One (very nice bowl...probably a blow out for Bama and Saban). :(

Meeechigan got Nebraska in Insight (Also a nice bowl...a preview of things to come when the corn boys join the Big Ten...I like this matchup)

Boise State Univ. is screwed. They go to...Boise! :pound:

Great season for Big 10+1. They could reep $30M in bowl money. No bad big bowls !
Neb. could up that to $35M next season. Personally I wouldn't want to mess with Stanford or Oregon.

I'd love to see MSU play Stanford just to see how UMs next coach would fare against a quality team.

I'd love to see that. That means the MSU team is really a BCS team.

I'd also still hire him for UM though. Anything is an improvement.
