We should have crushed them. MSU looked like the better team by far but keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

    Next week U of M.

Darth is finally aboard the MSU bandwagon. Look for Sparty to crush the Wolverines on the road. The team that wins this game should be good enough to get a BCS bowl invitation, and that's not this year's Wolverines. Hope I didn't JINKS the Spartans by predicting their rise this season and their 31-24 victory next week...

    Go Spartans...:)

Looks like MSU is one spot ahead of Michigan in the polls at #16.

That sounds about right. UM's defense needs to improve a lot over the next six days if they plan on winning that game. Home-field advantage won't help.

Sparty is Sparty until they prove otherwise. U of M has beat us with one star and not much else in the past, so although I believe MSU has a much better team than U of M, I don't feel very confident about this game right now.

On the other hand, we finally beat a ranked team after losing about 14 of 15 since 2005.

Denard will be the best player out there. Our quarterback, Cousins, looks scared to me. Denard will give us fits, which will open up the U of M passing game, and our pass defense is our weakness.

Seems to me there was a game a few years back where U of M took out our quarterback (looked intentional, if I recall) who was kicking their butts. That turned the game around bcause we really didn't have much else.

We are, IMO, the best team U of M has faced all year. They have barely squeaked by lesser teams this year. I read a quote by some poster on the Detroit News which said something like, "MSU will stop U of M some of the time, but U of M will stop MSU none of the time".

Denard is going to become very familiar with one Greg Jones, but even so, Robinson is easily looking very Heisman-ish. This is a watershed game for Sparty. I can see one of 3 things:

    1. Sparty blows out U of M

    2. Sparty wins close game

    3. U of M wins close game.

    Sparty is looking pretty decent...but...

I hate to say it...I really do...but right now I am thinking #3. Maybe I will have more confidence by the end of the week. :yellowprison:

Early odds are consistent. Michigan is a 4 1/2 point favorite. Time to worry Darth...:)

Pressure is all on Michigan, Rodriguez - College Football - Rivals.com

I think this article really sums it up well.

Lose to Michigan State and while the season certainly isn’t lost, it isn’t sitting quite as pretty. And that’s before Rodriguez has to listen to outraged alums who are tired of the “pride-comes-before-the-fall” heckling from the State fan down the block.

In East Lansing they count the days since Hart’s quote (1,067 as of Monday) because it also represents the last time Michigan defeated Michigan State in either football or men’s basketball. No one in Maize and Blue wants another 365 tacked onto that.

    MICHIGAN LAST WON ...

But State has nothing on OSU...it's been over 2500 days since Michigan beat them :pound:

It will still be a great game, irregardless of who announces it.

All I care about is that MSU wins. (But, yeah, it sux that we gotta listen to Matt Bozo Millen).

I know I look hard at everything the moron says but how does he have the job he does? There was a chat on the pregame show last night when the panel was talking about how certain teams needed to win soon. His brilliant comment was "Its early, you don't have to win games till after Thanksgiving" now we know why the Lions always lost... games till Dec don't matter. :nerd2:

He gets a total pass by Espn and there family of networks.... not the case on Fox, during halftime they made the comment that what happened for the 8 years in Detroit was Criminal. Glad atleast some folks out there call a spade a spade.

Has there ever been a worse GM in any sport?

Back on the thread Topic.... I have no clue what to expect Sat, I can see the Mich State of old (meaning they lay an egg and get blown out) A shoot out with either team winning... Or the lack of no defense finally showing up to bite Michigan in the butt and getting blown out.

The only thing I think its safe to say is that both teams will score atleast 20 points... closer to 40 if you ask me.
