    Harbaugh is just sandbagging.

If he does ultimately accept the UM job, the sandbagging isn't going to hurt his salary any...

I think that could be precisely the reason for it. As in: "You're really gonna have to twist my arm to get me to come coach for you." I don't blame him. The team is a mess for the foreseeable future.

I don't think he's coming for the big bucks Bill...

Brandon played for BO while Jim H. hung out on the sidelines.
He knows Harbaugh and that's why he was brought in as AD.
IMHO...this was a done deal SOME TIME AGO...

Who ever comes, it will not be a cake walk the first season...especially if they decide to change to the pro set and render Denard Robinson useless.

I would have hired a new head coach from the south who can go into those living rooms in Florida, Alabama and Georgia and convince them young ins to come up north to Ann Arbor, hire a defensive coach who can evaluate talent and anticipate opposing offensive plays.

Also hold an open call for kickers starting today for all high school seniors from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Windsor.........and............. retain Rich Rod as your offensive coach.....:ban:

There's a problem when Montana State has a kicker like Jason Cunningham
and Michigan settles for Bombastic Bushkin...........

Montana State University junior kicker Jason Cunningham has been named national special teams player of the week by The Sports Network. Cunningham connected on a single-game school record five field goals, including a career-long 55-yarder, in the Bobcats' 48-21 victory over Drake. He scored his team's first nine points on his way to an 18-point game. Cunningham leads Big Sky Conference kickers, scoring 13 points per game, an average that ranks him fourth nationally among all players.

I see no reason to change the offense. Keep that and desperately try to recruit some defensive players.

Harbaugh has stiff-armed any attempt to show his hand. Why would he leave Stanford ? Any year he has a top rank QB he can carve up the P-10.

Other people that should be in the mix when rebuilding the Wolverines.

-Jim Herrmann was our Defensive coordinator in 1997 when Michigan won the national championship. Many considered that defense to be one of the best nationally of that era. He was with Michigan for 20 years before going to the pros. He should be brought back from his NFL stint as linebackers coach to assist in the rebuilding, as the Defensive coordinator.

-Scott Loeffler is currently employed by Florida. he was brought in to work with some guy named Tim Tebow. He was QB coach at Michigan several years ago. I think everyone remembers that Michigan has sent their last 7 QBs to the NFL. It must be noted that he worked with a guy named Tom Brady. Helping our Current star QB fit in to a new mentality makes this coach very special.

These "Michigan Men" should blend in with any of the coaching candidates being considered at this time.

Thanks for that. Nice to hear other options beyond the household names.
