Latest news is that Harbaugh will turn down the 49ers for the Dolphins.
Their contract offer is in the 7-8 million dollar PER YEAR range.
That would make him the highest paid NFL coach out there.

The problem that I see is that he's too much like Nick Saban.
He's very old school Bo Schembecher in his ways.
That would not work in the NFL with today's athletes.
Just ask Nick Saban...Formerly of the Dolphins...

As a cerebal thinking coach, he just may choose NOT to take the money.

    The Michigan job makes sense.
He'll have a long leash to turn the program around.
    He'll be paid handsomely.
He doesn't have to deal with NFLers
He doesn't have to worry about a lockout.
He has a history with UM and a chance to be the next Bo if he does his job right.

C'mon Jim. Follow your heart not your agent!

...ah, what do I care, I went to MSU.

Some serious requirements for the next UM football coach.

    1. The only color you hate worse than scarlet is gray.
    2. You promise to ask yourself at least once each day: What would Bo do?
    3. You have never bought any memorabilia from Terrelle Pryor.

    4. You agree that the only place Michigan is supposed to give up 52 points in a game in January is at the basketball arena.

    5. You voted for former Wolverine Gerald Ford for president.

    6. You wouldn’t be caught dead coaching in a vest.
    7. You know at least three good Michigan State jokes.
    8. You have always been under the impression that the Seven Wonders of the World included the Big House.
    9. Your game plan will not be based on the premise that if your offense scores 40 you might have a chance to win.

    10. When you were a kid, you thought your dream date was either Raquel Welch or Ann Arbor.

    11. When you need a good stiff drink at home, you pour it into a Little Brown Jug.

    12. All you want is a program your helmets can be proud of.
    13. You won’t mind that half your fan base wishes you were Bo Schembechler.

Sorry about RRod. He was progressing.
We went non-Michigan because the Mich men were getting crushed by OU.
As for Jim H. the 49ers came in at $5M.

    Y1- 3 wins
    Y2- 5 wins
    Y3- 7 wins

I don't see what the problem is here. He was about to get 9 wins next year and then be in the hunt for a national championship in Y5.

Our last coach, Lloyd Carr won 77% of his games and won a national championship.
As the winningest 1A program of all time, we boast a 77% all time winning percentage.
Even Lloyd Carr was critized by many as the coach.

Many will say the cupboard was bare including Rich Rod when he arrived, but he simply didn't hire effective assistant coaches. Withour Denard Robinson, the Big Ten Player of the Year...The Wolverines woulda been lucky to have won 3 games. We have never counted on one player as much as we did this season. Because of that...getting away from Michigan Team football...It was time for Rich Rod to go.

Read my signature...There are too many like it from former players for me to post.

The problem with Carr's last 3-4 years, he was 0-8 in bowls and OU games.
Badger Mut. is just killing the Big Ten with their 60 commercial. "Big Ten isn't about respect" "Big Ten was embarrassed" "Big Ten isn't about embarrassment, etc".

For his sake, I hope Andrew Luck comes to his senses and declares for the draft.

Perhaps he doesn't want to play for the Panthers...

His plan is to suck all of next season and get drafted around 12th by the 49ers.

I'm figuring that Harbaugh will be about as successful an NFL head coach as...

    [STRIKE]
    Wayne Fontes
    Monte Clark
    Mike Singletary
    Marty Morningwig
    [/STRIKE]

    Rod Marenilli

I got him going 4-5 wins first season...
Never saw him as a good NFL coach.
