Re: How many Piston wins until December? Man, another loss tonight and my guess will become a reality. This is the closest I've ever come to guessing anything.
We are sitting at 7-16. Here are the remaining games for the year: 12/10 @Minnesota 12/11 Toronto 12/14 Atlanta 12/17 Clippers 12/19 New Orleans 12/22 @Toronto 12/26 Chicago 12/27 @Charlotte 12/29 Boston 12/31 @Phoenix I think we'll be welcoming the new year with a 10-23 record.
10-19 If we had 13 wins, we would be firmly in the playoff hunt. Still a lot of games to go, 53 to be exact. Heck, my prediction of 55 or more wins is even possible still. For the most part - Kuester is now playing the right rotation. Still gots Bynum getting minutes, but other than that, the rotations make sense. And we still have Daye and Summers available, 2 quality players, if we have any injuries we have to cover for. I hope I get a job soon, cause with no job, no way I am even spending gas many to get down to the Palace. Been 2 years now since I have seen a game at the Palace and I really miss that. I was going to 20 games a year. Got a source for free tickets any time I want to go - but again, until I get a job - ain't happening. (Not that the seats are not nearly free anyway lately.) Heck, if TMAC gets any better - I forecast it won't be long before ticket prices - along with attendance, climb. Could end up being quite the year for the Pistons.
That is only slightly more possible that the Pistons winning 1000 games this year. .000000001 to about 0.
New update: At the halfway point of the season, the Pistons are 15-26. This puts them on pace for a 30-52 record.
We are fortunate to have so many smart people on this forum. Their prognosticating abilities [STRIKE]irregarding [/STRIKE]regarding the Pistons is simply amazing. They also must be very insightful when it comes to the Detroit Pistons. I published a list of names of the people who are on pace to be correct for the reader's convenience. 30-34 2Tough4You, basketbills, CarlosGallan, Darth Tater, discotom, kpaav, LA Dre, Mogilny, RodneyStuckey#3, Ryder, TaShawn, Walter, webz, Woody I forgot. What prize is Rascoe awarding for the winners? Is there a tiebreaker for this contest? Did [STRIKE]Woody[/STRIKE] somebody steal my secret formula for predicting the correct number of victories this season? Speaking of Rascoe, has anyone seen him lately? I wonder if foul play was involved in his disappearance. I've posted several pictures of him around various forums. Do you think he got scared and ran away?
Lee356, Max, and Rascoe all predicted 55 or more wins. They will need the Pistons to go 40-1 to reach that plateau. If they lose to the Celtics tonight, they'll have to reel off 40 straight wins to close out the season. It's possible, as long as the clueless coach uses the right rotations.
Currently at 17-32 (.347), the Pistons are on pace to finish 28-54. The 55+ win predictions are not looking so good at this point.
Interesting to see that even though we all feel (I think) we have improved over the last month or so, we have same winning percentage we did just before Christmas when Bill posted our projected wins.
