The Lions are on the clock::::: Suh time IMO...I know it would be nice get some more protection up front for the weak offensive line, but the front defense really needs the help...
read an article about draft busts last night.... draft night goes so far to why you are good or bad.... and how our ex gm just ruined our team for years..... Draft Busts of the 2000s: Where are they now? - Shutdown Corner - NFL Blog - Yahoo! Sports nice list of bust for all teams over the course of 2000-2007 (considering only 2-4 per year are listed this is pretty pathetic) Here are the Detroit additions. 2002 QB Joey Harrington 2003 WR Charles Rogers 2004 WR Roy E. Williams 2005 WR Mike Williams 2006 LB Ernie Sims
It's amazing the Fords kept Millen for so long. He must have had some damaging photos or something...
I'll be watching expectantly. We don't need a left tackle. Backus is adequate. (sort of like Jerebbko is adequate.) Take Suh, a CB, a RB ( not Best), and an OLB. If we trade our #34 for extra picks, we can add a S, and a C/OG or DE to the list. Get Tackles next year or a project with the 7th picks. GO WINGS!!
Why are you amazed? He did it with Russ Thomas too. I think he was loyal to Thomas because Thomas stuck by him when he battled alcoholism. I could be wrong, but I believe that was the story. He admitted to keeping Millen due to his personal feelings for him. Don't ask me what that means. I think the Lions take Suh for sure if available. If the Rams take him the Lions will take Bradford. Great thread idea, Rascoe. I'm pumped and will be watching. The Eagles have a lot of early picks thanks to them trading my boy. Good luck to the Lions. I will always have a place in my heart for them. But NOT on September 19th.
Nobody ever said WCF was a good owner. He also was a VERY poor manager. No wonder he never had anything to do with running the Ford Company. He had the dough, but no brains. That's not a good combination. He picked poor people to manage the Lions (Thomas, Millen) and then gave them free reign to run the show with no accountability. UGH! :nerd2::nerd2::nerd2:
Way more excited about getting Suh than I was about Stafford...much rather the Lions establish a defensive identity.
DAAAAMNNNNN, The Eagles took a Wolverine. Oh...it is a cruel world. We needed an offensive lineman. Ugghhh....
Very impressive freight train there...we might be able to still be the game now in at the end of the first quarter now instead spotting teams 21 pts before our offense gets started.... Lions draft a [STRIKE]boy[/STRIKE] MAN named Suh!!
Wow! That video made me want to watch the Lions next season. You are very cruel, Jammer. Until now the Lions have been dead to me. This can only lead to heartache.
Wow. Lions moved up to take a RB (Jahvid Best). I think it was a great move.Great draft for the kitty's so far.
I agree. I'm REALLY liking what I've seen so far. We got the best player available at two HUGE needs positions. Now we need to address our secondary, LBs and O-line with the rest of the draft and maybe a FA or two.
