    Ok everyone, we are doing auction @ Yahoo, with standard league scoring, and weekly lineups.

    I will setup the league tomorrow, if there are any issues or concerns with this, please make yourself heard ASAP.

    Everyone who has signed up, please post your team name. The only people I recognize are hita, DT and Beers.

    The AUCTION draft is tentatively set for

    Sat Mar 13 1:00pm EST

    Give me alternate times that would better suit you so I can build a poll.

    It would be ideal, given how much time we have to plan, to get maximum turnout. Auction is fast and exciting, but it sucks if half the guys don't show.

    Keweenaw Katchers here booooiiii! I hate to be the THAT ONE, but that Saturday I will be traveling through the Midwest with a friend on her Spring Break, so it wouldn't really work for me. Keep the discussion goin, maybe I can work something out.

    Just about any day works for me at this point. I'm just hoping I can get in the room. It wouldn't let me in for the hockey draft until the draft was just starting...:yellowprison:

    ok i'm new to the auction idea... seem promising but need to know abit about it..

    do i have to adjust my biddings for each player ahead of time or will i bid the default value automatically..

    i'm sure more questions to come.

    Tip Drill: Fantasy auction strategy - Roto Arcade - Fantasy Blog - Yahoo! Sports

    Check that out round. I'll post more details soon.

    I have only done ESPN auction, but if Yahoo is the same, draft order just means who gets to nominate next. We could choose to bid on the worst player in the league first and the best last.

    And because everyone can bid on every player (until they are out of money) the draft is exciting and fast paced. You don't sit and wait for your turn, odds are you will be involved in every 2nd or 3rd player selection.

    The key strategies are IMO, nominating top level talent late, when people have less to spend, knowing who is worth paying top buck for, and conserving money for later in the draft when people are broke, and you can buy quality players for a $1 or $2.

    Ok, I just joined. I'm PeanutButter Jammies.

    As for the draft, Saturdays don't work for me. Nights work best for my schedule. Anything 8pm or later any day but Saturday would be ideal.

    Of course majority rules, so if I can't make it, I can't make it.
