I'll say 31-51 sounds about right. 31 wins...

For reference, last year's team won 39 games.

I am a big fan who struggles with trying to stay positive when ships are sinking all around us. I'm sorry that I'm not able to maintain positive faith.

That was Darth Vader's line from Star Wars.

Nothing wrong with being a little pessimistic. :thumb:

I'll stick with my original prediction although I may be a couple of wins too high.

If they can win 42 games I'll be very pleased.

I picked 46-49. I think we will be better than a lot of people think.

We also might pull off some crazy trade, Rip, Tay, and Maxiell for McGrady and Jermaine Taylor then ship McGrady for Bosh, or make a run at him next year with the cap space.

I still think the current team is far more versatile and IMO already better than last years team, younger and more willing to do what it takes to win.

Preseason is preseason, but I think people are reading too much into the rotations we had out there. He was messing around for the hell of it, and why not, how many crazy plays are done in NFL preseason.

We will see, the season is upon us.

I think 40 something is about right. Excited for the season to start. I watched the Boston game tonight just to see what my man Sheed was doing. He played well, good defence, 3 or 4 three's. set good picks. Still yells out "Straight Up", still sits on the far end of the bench, committed I think 4 fouls, still vocal. Has let his hair grow out really long, sort of a mini fro, I didn't like it. Too poofy. Kinda weird watching two teams I absolutely hate. I know most of you were happy to see him leave, I was hoping he would stay and come off our bench. Anyway, the real season for me starts tomorrow.......

Yes they are younger and hungrier. Plus there are a lot of trade options now that we did not have before.

I think once they cut down on the turnovers they will be fine.

My favorite number is 42 and as the team now stands, a little on the down-side of 42.

A copuple months ago I guessed 35 and people thought I was crazy. Lee's great 20 win prediction seems very possible. I still think 35 is about where it's at. on case you forgot:

    Pistons frontcourt:

    Charlie Villanueva
    Kwame Brown
    Jason Maxiell
    Ben Wallace
    Chris Wilcox

    Unproven point guards

    Rookie coach

Maybe I shoulda guessed 29. This team is really bad on paper.

Of course, who knows? Dumars could trade hamilton for dwight howard and stuckey turns into Dwayne Paul. Errr Chris Wade. Could happen.

I know these predictions are supposed to be made before the season starts, but last year most of us picked the wins based on CB being the coach and QB on the floor and he was sacked 4 games into the season which basically invalidated most of our picks.

The poll closes 11/10 or so?? I think I will wait 5 games to see if Joe makes a quick move/trade like he did last season before I officially select and validate what I think will be 35 W's .....

During losing streak somebody posts a thread: I miss Michael Curry!

    38 seems optimistic enough.

OK, I picked 29...and not just to balance the bell curve for the 58 win prediction. I'll be wrong, of course, because this team, as it is currently constituted, is set up to make trades.

I don't remember who wrote the article that was pushing for Gordon and Charlie to come off the bench. But that was a shot of reality for me. We went from having cap space for a top 5 player to using it on a couple of guys that would make a super duper bench. I know the article was probably BS, but the fact remains that camp and preseason only reinforced the impressions I had of every player on the team.

Without some good trader Joe stuff, I see a few early wins but a lot of losing streaks as reality sets in.

    I'm going with 41.
    ...500 ball this year.
    8th seed.
1st round loss to the Celts.

One of our rooks will show some REALLY good progress.
One of our rooks will show signs of being a bust.
    Kwame will have small hands.
    There will be a trade.
    People will like Q.
Joe will take a lot of heat.
    This forum will be fun.

I believe Lee predicted 62 wins last year.
