You are such a follower. :outtahere:

    I've changed my mind.

I think it is about time that Michigan State stops losing these big games. Sooner or later you're going to do it right. That streak of 3 out of 4 was impressive. MSU is favored by 3 but I think a lot of people think Iowa will win.

The Spartans are taking this one seriously.

The MSU defense shows up BIG time. Cousins is good enough. The running game will look good.

    MSU 17

    Iowa 14

My MSU Combat Jersey arrived at my doorstep yesterday evening (every time I order from the Yahoo shop it seems that as soon as I hit the "Place Order" button there is a knock on my door and the UPS guy is standing there with my merchandise). :)

Anyhow, I'm ready for the game Saturday. I hope the jersey is lucky. ;)

See nemo. I'm actually a good fan. I ordered my jersey AFTER MSU got blown out by Nebraska. Oh...wait...well, I thought I did...I just checked and I actually ordered it Friday. BUT...I DID order it and that is what counts.

I remember the Lions were playing the Vikings about 18 years ago and I think Rodney Peete was the QB, or maybe Charlie Batch. Anyways, they were losing a close December match and I told my Brother-in-law if the Lions pull out a victory, that I would buy a Lion's jacket. They scored 14 ... 4th qtr points to come back and win and I ordered the Jacket. It was a silver nylon jacket style with a blue Lion stitched over the left chest. I gave it to good will the season they went 0-16...

I hope you have better luck with your jersey...

You got MSU's score correct, nemo. HUGE win. Only Sparty could have a 24 point lead and make their fans sweat. MSU is really banged up. Ghoulston is stuck on stupid. Indiana at home next. WTG MSU (It must be my new jersey:biggrin:).

    MSU 34

Iowa 21 (Those uniforms are really ugly).

Looks like they have a firmer hold on the Legends division.

8-2 for the Spartans. They should be favored for the last two games. They play Indiana at home have next week off, then they play Northwestern for the final regular season game. Spartans should finish another excellent season with an 11-2 record...

As a side note...I get tired of the studio guys pushing OSU for the Big Ten title game. Maybe now that they lost today to Purdue, and are now 6-4 overall...Herbstreit will take a chill pill...or a laxative...:poop:

I like this from Dantonio after the game:

    On the reverse pass...
"That game was in question. That reverse pass was to keep the foot on the gas. I just kept telling our coaches, `hey play like we're even, don't play like we're ahead, don't let our players play like we were ahead.' Keep challenging them to play in the moment and play in the present because I think sometimes you get out and ahead and you start watching the clock. We don't want to watch the clock. We want to make sure we continue to play through it. I don't know if we were watching the clock or not. I don't know how you guys feel, maybe people from Iowa don't think it was close. I, personally, thought it was a close football game in that second half and it became closer the longer it was going."

I agree, Mr. Seaweed. As much as I like to complain about Danrtonio, he's a very good coach.

    Prediction time:

Indiana is the weakest team in the big Ten.

MSU is ARGUABLY the best team in the Big Ten and the game is in East Lansing.

    MSU 41

    Indiana 12

    What?

You're usually their greatest supporter. Maybe you only do it to disagree with ME? :spider: I'll have you know my lucky jersey is 1-0. I don't think Indiana will roll over but I hope Sparty won't make this a thriller. But either way a win would be a win.

    Segue alert!!

Speaking of supporters and lack thereof:

    http://michiganstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1294100&PT=4&PR=2

When asked if he would root for Michigan, and with it the possibility of clinching a week early, Dantonio said: "Nope, sorry, I can't. We just have to do it our own way. I'd be letting too many people down if I did."

    :smiley hug:

Should Mark Dantonio be able to root for Michigan if it benefits the Spartans?

Hypothetical question: Let’s say Nebraska had beaten Northwestern two weeks ago and remained tied with MichiganState for the top spot in the Legends Division. The Huskers, of course, hold the head-to-head tiebreaker with the Spartans thanks to their 24-3 win in Lincoln last month. If that were the case, and Nebraska controlled its own destiny for the Big Ten title game berth, do you really think that Dantonio would have any issue pulling for Michigan on Saturday?
    Me neither.

Michigan and MSU at 10 - 2 would be very nice. Michigan would go to the Fiesta Bowl as an at-large BCS team and MSU will go to the Rose Bowl since after all...they will "run the table" by winning the first BIG TEN championship game. They will be crowned the Big Ten champions and qualify for the Rose Bowl..so I guess that the Spartans will go to the Better Bowl Game.

Can you Imagine the Spartans playing the Oregon Ducks...

Oh. You're right. I guess I was thinking both at 10-2. OK. Both 9-3. Who goes to the better bowl?

I think Michigan would. Maybe if Sparty lost to Northwestern or Indiana, they would deserve a lesser bowl than Michigan.
