    Back to the Spartan thread....

Now it's time to focus on the toughest game for MSU this season.

Also the Biggest game of the Big Ten this year...

Wisconsin has been held up as the class of this year's Big Ten.

They have not disappointed...entering the big game with a perfect record.

If they Beat MSU...it increases their chances for a National Championship game.

However they must produce against the Spartan Defensive Machine....

I'm seeing a Spartan victory at home, next week...under the lights...:)

Let us savor this one for a day before we go there...

This was the biggie for me. I don't care nearly as much if they lose to Wisconsin or if they lose their bowl game. They beat MICHIGAN!!! For Sparty that is huge.

No doubt. Four years in a row, if anyone is keeping track of that sort of thing. :pound:

Two things I LOVE about MSU...

They defeated Michigan 4 years in a row

    Their combat jerseys

I like Dantonio and he has done a lot for the organization. I just feel that he is too conservative.

The players...they are OK. They do stupid things. Often.

I think MSU was trying to hurt Denard all game. Wasn't there a game a few years back where Sparty was winning big and a guy on Michigan body slammed the quarterback. MSU sucked after that and lost the game. Very physical game. I didn't like it when the MSU quarterback got slammed and I don't like the roughing the passer crap today. I loved it when they beat up Denard all day but that late hit was unsportsmanlike. Too much stuff like that today.

    Lots of extras happening today.

    Strong winds...
    Bad calls by refs...
    Lots of penalties...
    Some questionable play calling...

    But State deserved this one.............

I don't give a rat's behind about Denard's health. I'm glad they kicked his butt.

Those little QBs who like to run tend to get beat up. That's why the Wolverines need to diversify their Offense by getting others involved more.

Anyways...that wouldn't have mattered. MSU was there today to shut down whatever came their way.

Denard makes me think of the way Vick is getting beat up.............

I was thinking that a little while ago. But Vick's uniform is already green so it doesn't stand out as much.

I believe Michigan will bounce back from this game...unlike the past few seasons.

I watched a little of it until the score went up to 21-7. It does not seem to matter who is better or how much better UM may be as State always plays em so well. Nice victory for them - what did they do to their uniforms?

:pound: :pound::pound:No. It doesn't seem to matter how much better U of M has been these last FOUR (4) seasons. Somehow they lost anyhow. Rotten luck.:pound::pound::pound:

I always thought the crowd factor was more hype than anything but what else could it be? MSU always seems to beat UM in Lansing. Some pretty good UM teams have gone in there over the years and lost.

I think most rivalries are like that. The crowd does play a huge part too. The offense of the opposing team can't hear the signals when the crowd roars. I think it did affect U of M today, as they kept using time outs.

But I don't think anyone other than a Wolverine fan would argue that the Wolverines were the better of the two teams these last few years. It hasn't even been close. So far this year the Spartans appear to be the better team too. The best team won.

"Bigger. More physical. Tougher. Dominating. In every way. No other conclusion can be made about Michigan State and its rivalry with Michigan after the Spartans' 28-14 victory Saturday.

Michigan State isn't just having success against the Wolverines. The Spartans own Michigan. Four straight victories say so.

The Wolverines can wax poetic about Bo and Woody and "The 10-Year War" all they want, but the Spartans have won back-to-back games against both schools.

    Little Brother no more".
