I think the Players Union basically "forces" all players to appeal suspensions. I agree, though. It would be best to just apologize, take your medicine, and be ready in 2 weeks.
I'm really concerned about the effect this will have in the locker room. I can really see players dividing over this issue...especially how it may affect the team in the coming weeks.
I think you're way off base. This is business as usual in the NFL. Every player that is disciplined does this every year. It's all part of the players union's plan.
Having the most talented player sabotage the playoff hopes with his stupid mistake...on a team desparate for a playoff visit...certainly can cause some to question his motives. Is he a team player, or does he just play for the money............
He's a knucklehead that just wants to bash heads with impunity. And no, he really doesn't have any money issues.
Oh, I think he is VERY motivated. He appears to always play his hardest and I don''t believe there are any questions about how he plays the actual game. He just can't control his anger and when he makes ridiculous denials like he does afterward, it's obvious to me that until he does accept responsibility for his actions, they won't change. But he does need to be smarterer.
Suh crashes into tree but OK. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Au5m3BFXeaZUTr5F40ZIUAQ5nYcB?slug=ap-suh-carcrash
http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2011/12/nfl_player_ndamukong_suh_crash.html Check the comments under the story: "Reports also indicate that after his car came to a stop, Suh exited the vehicle and shoved the tree to the ground and stomped on the water fountain.Suh stated that he was simply trying to extricate himself from the tree when he picked it up and broke it in two over his light pole..."
Though the lite-pole went over the cops head, they won't press charges because he has extricating it. * Suh should take some ballerina classes to get a handle on his tenderness side. "For without a touch of tenderness, he might destroy me !"
I'm figuring the Lions with their depleted defense simply will be unable to stop Drew Brees and the Offensive weapons of the Saints. Look for Drew to throw for 5 TDs and rush for 1.......... Prediction.... Lions 17 Saints 55
We just need to keep scoring with them and hope for some turnovers I'd say. Defense won't have anything to do with the outcome.
31-17 and not that close. 11/102 penalties saints 1/5 penalty til 5min lefts in 4th holding them to 31 was pretty good
TaS, after the Suh incident you would think they would be on their good behavior. But no ! Its worse ! Logan throws a ball at some one, Pettigrew touches a ref and Young pushes some one. Coaching ? What coaching ?
