You can't blame coaches for guys making stupid plays like that. What is a coach supposed to do, say "Dont' be an idiot"?

The coaching will need to reel these guys in or there is no playoffs for the former 5-0 the Lions that had the city and the league in an uproar circa 9/11 thru the Monday night victory over Da Bears on 10/12. Since then, they have been in a freefall going 2-5 and looking like the Lions of 2006-2009. The announcers in last night games spoke our frustration continually pointing out the Lions childish undisciplined behavior that led to numerous penalties etc. Whatever happen to the record setting season that Megatron was about to have....? Stafford led the league in yards yesterday and all he to show for it was 17 points....

Maybe we need Brady Hoke to take over!

I watched the first half of the game and it felt like we were going uphill. Every positive play seemed to be negated by a penalty that didn't help the play. We were playing a very good team on the road though and it wasn't exactly a blow out... and we were missing one of our top 3 players... but just stupid, unnecessary stuff. It's like we have a whole team of Suhs.

Whenever I see the word Fishy...I somehow think Darth is writing for my response...

I just hope that Suh didn't threaten the passengers....if they told the real story.
According to this version of events.........
He wasn't drunk...wasn't high on drugs...just not able to control his behavior.
Kinda like out on the field....

The Lion coaches have gotta reign in the jackasses on this team. It's painful to watch.
They need to start dishing out some SERIOUS fines to these guys for acting like jerks.

Why is it that almost every Lion receiver/tight end has to spring to his feet and give the "first down" sign after making a simple catch. I don't care if everyone else in the NFL does it, ...It's freaking stupid!

The team basically got a concussion. Dumb penalties due to a lack of maturity and discipline and injured running backs is how I would summarize our downfall.

But... we're still in the driver's seat for the wildcard spot, which would be pretty cool. It sure beats watching the Pistons skate into the 8th playoff spot and get slaughtered by LeBron on his minions.

We have Minnesota @ Detroit (should get us to 8-5)
    Lions at Raiders (7-5)- Predicting a L, so 8-6
    Chargers (5-7) @ Detroit- Predicting a W, to 9-6
Lions @ Green Bay (honestly, GB looks like they'll be 15-0 at this point and they will slaughter us just to remain perfect... our only hope is for a blizzard and even that plays to GB's advantage since we have a china doll QB and no running back. But at least luck has a bigger role in those conditions.)- 9-7

We really should get to 9-7 and I think that we are in.

    Here is our competition:
    Bears 7-5
    Atlanta 7-5
    NY Giants 6-6

The Bears are looking very weak, but they play 2 weaklings coming up and have 1 sure loss with another probable loss. @ Denver (L?), Seattle at home (W), @ Green Bay (L), and @ Minnesota (W?). They probably go 2-2

We only need to beat out 2 of them. The Giants would have to go 3-1 to tie us in this scenario. They play Dallas twice, at the Jets, and the Redskins at home. (probably 2-2)

Atlanta has Carolina, Jacksonville, New Orleans, and Tampa (probably 2-2)

It might come down to tiebreakers.
    1) head to head (splits here)
    2) division record (only matters against the Bears, and we will likely tie them)
    3) record against common opponents ???

Anyway, 2 more wins and we are most likely in. Beat Minny and beat the Chargers in Detroit.

2-2 sounds iffy....they need to beat Oakland too and go 3-1 just to assure the spot.

The first player that makes a silly mistake/penalty other than Stafford or Megatron, needs to have the coach and team captain call him out and make him sit for a quarter!!!

Actually...2-2 seems far fetched at this point, against any competition.
I'm glad we played Tebow when we did. Now, we'd be committing silly penalties against that team and they would beat us.

The woman called her husband to pick her up? Then she ratted Suh out? Doesn't sound like a very close friend of his.

Cool car, except the wheels look a little off.
