TCU may be a one year wonder, still I'm glad I'm not that involved. LOL Just be glad this wasn't a case of international intrigue with lives at stake.
Good news here. Lions were quite a bit over the cap. Stafford, Vanden Bosch restructure contracts so Lions can add 3 on defense | Detroit Free Press | freep.com
My peace of mind and dignity WILL forever be in great great jeopardy if Michigan State loses the game with Boise in 2012.
Funny. Chris Carter can't admit he neglected to include Megatron in his list of best receiver in the NFL today. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...sn-t-care-what-Cris-Carter-thi?urn=nfl-wp5146
Yea for the Lions...first fine of the year: Ndamukong Suh of Detroit Lions fined $20K for slamming Andy Dalton of Cincinnati Bengals - ESPN
It wasn't pretty, but the Lions won the battle with the least amount of mistakes, spotting the Browns a 28-13 lead before roaring back for a 30-28 win led by Stanton and the second and third stringers and a bevy of Browns mistakes via penalties and fumbles. Stanton definitely needs to move up the QB depth chart.
Right now we need RB or OL. But yeah, he wrecked Ohio ST. got rid of Tressel. And he could get 1st downs.
No...I'd rather have LeBron James as the Mayer of Detroit and Paul Pierce as the governer of MIchigan..
The Lions had a representative at today's workout. 17 NFL teams evaluate Terrelle Pryor, who says he won't appeal suspensions - ESPN
Yea, I can hear it now "....tune in tonight to witness today's decision on the sanitation pick-up schedule...."
Lions must be in panic mode to consider somebody like T. Pryor. After watching the first half against Cleveland, I wanted to wretch. Best goes out with symptoms whilch look like a concussion. Then I get to watch Raiola play the O-line like only he can. The run game simply doesn't exist at this time. Hopefully Best comes back and if not...Than the pick-up of Harrison may prove to be our savior....
The Lions most successful position has been...Kicker. They have had only 3 long term kickers in the last 43 years.... Errol Mann from 1969 - 1977 Eddie Murray from 1980 - 1991 Jason Hanson from 1992 - present. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that LaDre's favorite Lion...Benny Ricardo, also kicked for a couple of years in between 1977-1980. These are long term players and it also must be noted that Mann and Murray had an additional 11 years on other teams combined. I mention this because it seems that Hanson may be on his way out after 20 seasons with the team. Raynor has done a good job this pre-season and seems to have a stronger foot that Hanson at this point. If this happens...I hope that Hanson lands with another team if that is what he wants... During these 43 seasons...the Lions have had 56 QB's who saw time. [SARCASM]This position has been less successful..........[/SARCASM]
It's crazy. Kickers are very underrated. Eddie Murray was awesome. Playoff games often come down to the kicker. I remember Monte Clark on the ground praying when the always reliable Murray made a kick in the playoff game against San Fransisco for the win... ...and he missed. Heartbreaking. The Lions. Hopefully things change. They are looking good.
interesting season as the Lions finished the strike shortened campaign with a 4-5 record...but made the playoffs.
