They played the first series and they are all out of there now. The biggest battle going on right now is for the Lions punter job.
Dumb. Just dumb, IMO. I would still think that even if Stafford wasn't my starting fantasy quarterback.
It's probably has more to do with just staying in a weekly routine....going through warm-ups...preparing for a game, etc. They don't need any more live reps at this point.
Not my team, bro. Lions are going to be the media darlings if they start off well. I posted an article in the Eagles thread where another writer predicted them to make the playoffs. I've said all along that they are going to surprise some people this year. Just a little luck going their way. That' all they need. Or at least for the bad luck to stay away. Suh is mean. Great player but mean. Not dirty. But Super aggressive. Maybe that's not mean. But it sure seems mean. I remember being at the Lions game. He was all over Vick. Mean. Scary mean. Not quite dirty. Almost. He likes to hurt people I think. Just mean. Plain old mean. I'm really glad my team doesn't need to deal with them...at least until the post season. Mean, I say. Mean. That team is going to be good. Whether or not that translates to victories I don't know. But I think it will. One more thing. That Suh guy is mean. Real mean.
Good. Suh is my new favorite player. My last favorite Lion was Robert Porche. I hope he averages three sacks a game. Bring the pain, baby.
After 7 seasons with Detroit, and holding nearly all of the Lions punting records, Nick Harris was just released. The young punter that the Lions drafted has a stronger leg...and will make a lot less than Harris.
Lions get a new 4th string running back. Lions claim power back in Keiland Williams - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN
Man...I love your attitude. I'm certainly not there with this team. I'm actually looking at a lot lower finish, but to dream of what could be...
I've really thought about how the Lions will do this season and I'm ready to make my prediction.... I'm going with a 6-10 record this season for several reasons... -The team will sustain key injuries this season which will hamper their comeback. -Their schedule is daunting...from their first game at Tampa Bay, who finished 10-6 last year, to playing Chicago and Green Bay twice each. -The Bears will be strong this season to the surprise of many. -We will not establish our run game this season, to the dismay of the fans. -The defense will only be middle of the road....
Lions, Rams lead list of five non-playoff teams that could be movin’ on up - Shutdown Corner - NFL Blog - Yahoo! Sports
First four games will again be crucial this season for the Lions. they open up against Tampa Bay... -playing on the road. -10 wins last season, in a tough division. they play the Chiefs at home... -division winners last year. -another double digit win team.. they play at Minnesota -we never seem to win there. -strong defense with Adrian Peterson running the ball. they play at Dallas. -third road game in first 4. -Dallas also 6-10 last year, but should also be better. We play nobody during this stretch who was worse than us last season. A 3-1 or 4-0 start will get the playoff buzz started. A 1-3 or 2-2 start will get Darth Tater Started... An 0-4 start is still possible....
