Last job was DC at Stanford, where he helped Harbaugh build a strong D. His team led the Pac-10 in 6 categories last season. He has a Masters in Biochemistry and Molecular biology. His father is a research scientist. Defense is getting rave reviews so far this season.......... His players call him the "Mad Chemist"........ Lions are 5-7 during their last 12 games. They've acted undiciplined and spoiled during that time. I DID choose them as my survivor pick though, only because this may be their only nick fairly easy game. look for an 8-8 season as coach tries to get all of the rats out of the barn.
Stafford has connected on 20/24 passes in the first half....unfortunately 3 of those were completed to Rams defenders that turned into 13 pts for them....and the Lions are down 3 at the half. This game should be at least 28-0, or at least 21-0.... Stafford needs to trust the ground game when he is in the red zone...
Good comeback win as Stafford runs two perfect TD series to steal back game in the last 10 seconds, beating the Rams 27-23. Kevin Smith> 62 yards on 13 carries, probably could have been handed the ball more often...especially when Matt threw that first pick. Stafford was 32-48 for a league leading 355 yards...(so far),. The three picks almost cost the game, but he atoned for it in the 4th qtr.
Stafford has some serious talent. During 95% of my Lions watching years, our QB was either below average or servivable. Great to have a top 5ish QB with the top receiver. It makes it way more fun to watch when we're losing because there is actual hope for a comeback.
