As an NBA player, you ideally want to get more rings than you give.
"He just couldn't replicate what Billups gave me.." ....... ....... ....... .......
Not many have hardware like him.
I wonder if Rodney gives her hugs after she makes dinner, does the laundry, etc....
No, he saves those for the neighbor's wife after SHE makes dinner and does the laundry.
Well, well well.... lessee... so far.... so called the worst franchise at the table has both coach( definitely a top dog, please save me from fan fantasies aka Laimbeer) and GM and the best team without "head" has hired....somebody without previous experience...
The statue thing is just too weird. NBA rumors: Joe Dumars candidate for New Orleans GM spot, found inside a Pelican statue - Detroit Bad Boys
That is really bizarre.
This looks like some bad blood going on. Stan Van Gundy, coach of Detroit Pistons, says Dan Gilbert has some selfish interests - ESPN
Saw that the other day. SVG could have easily ignored making any big comments but he went out of his way to stick up for Detroit. Having been to the Palace a few times, I think the Pistons playing downtown would be better in general, but yeah, Dan Gilbert should totally be worrying about his own problems - like drafting #1
The league must be salivating at the thought of a Detroit/Cleveland feud.
No doubt. This is one where two cities could be trash talking about ping pong balls for the next decade.
Detroit Pistons officially name three assistants; John Loyer retained, Wallace not | Detroit Free Press | freep.com THIS is HORRIBLE. How the hell is Loyer allowed anywhere near this franchise? His bafoonery literally helped ensure that we lost our pick, yet Sheed who was clearly a positive influence in the development of our big men's skill level is shown the door? Pure stupidity.
This makes me so mad. I was trying to like Stan Van, now I can't stand him.....
I agree, I kind of want him to fail as well.
As much as I loved Rasheed, we don't know how effective he really was. Of course he was loved by the players, but I really want to see this team starting to win. Also, we don't need a coach for the big men, we have Stan Van Gundy. We need a coach for the freaking guards.
Hooper can continue being our mascot now.
Because, it was probably in his coaching contract, that as a placeholder until the end of the season, he would be compensated. This is the organization's acknowledgment that they are fulfilling their obligation. Loyer will be paid for the responsibilities that he upheld. SVG has the knowledge base to make the right decisions. Priority number one is to provide that knowledge down the chain. Priority number two is that all share in the systems offerings (offensive/defensive) that made each exposed to what it takes to be a winner. Priority number three is that those millionaires will have to adapt, listen and implement or SVG will find those that will. Winning is not magic. It is placing your best assets in the right system. Age makes no difference.
What about the guy above SVG who makes a lot more than millions? Why isn't he instinctively tough to control, corral or influence? To my water carrying eyes he's done more to harm the team than any player.
how so ernie?
