So TB gets his big matchup.
Eagles have held opponents to 21 points or fewer in eight straight games[IMG] after giving up an average of 27.5 points per game the first four weeks.

From The Detroit News: Lions' next opponent: Nick Foles looks sharp in Eagles' victory | The Detroit News

Folgers has turned into a winning QB. Time for Suh to accidently step on his throwing hand.
Both teams are hitting their stride at 7-5 and are healthy for 12 games in.
    Lions will fumble
    Eagles better coached already

    24-28
    *
n the last six games[IMG], they are holding teams to 40.5 yards rushing. They haven’t allowed a rushing touchdown in eight games, 34 straight quarters. That hasn’t been done by a Lions defense since 1934.

First team to score probably wins this snow bowl. ..Lions have already fumbled twice in the red zone but finally score on an interception and 2 pt conversion.

Turned into an offensive explosion for the Eagles, and a fumblefest for the Lions...

These are the Lions that we expect to show their ugly head when games count in the end. With the field and vision so bad to open the game, we are not sure if those two fumbles in the red zone would have been converted to TD's or not. But that errant hike by Raiola or whatever his name is was probably Lions signature play when it comes to incompetence. The Lions were driving for a possible tying TD on the 22 yard line when Stafford was trying to bark out a play and the ball sailed by him....of course falling on it may have save him, but he tried to pick it up.

No we won't blame that on the coach, but trying to kick a PAT when when they should have gone for 2 was pretty much the same mistake that the coaches called against the other Pennsylvania team 3 weeks ago when they crashed and burned in Pittsburgh. Not to say that the two points made that much of a difference, but the block energized the Eagles and there was no stopping them after that.... I mean the Eagles couldn't see in the first half, but they must have put tire chains on their shoes in second half ran through the Lions defensive line like they were stuck in slush... and I don't recall them ever fumbling the ball either. A bad personal foul call by the refs of ruffing the passer gave the Eagles life and that gave them the tying TD and winning points on the conversion.

Funny thing about this game was that the Lions were able to move it better when there was 10% visibility and once it cleared up, they couldn't move it all. Two of the Lions TDs came from Ross on the special teams punt return and the 98 yard KO return. Maybe we should have put him in there as a receiver? The game was over, but I am sure you saw the Lion last series where the receivers dropped 3 straight passes before the last one was tipped. Reggie Bush supposedly slipped prior to the game, so he wasn't available and with Bell's two fumbles, we couldn't trust our running game like the Eagles did.

Even though they have the tie breaker vs the Bears, those darn Packers won, so now they have to win out to assure there are no issues with ties etc.

Schwartz's job is on the line here....playoffs and first round victory is the only thing that saves him from cleaning out his desk in February.

I don't want to come down too hard considering the weather. But the fumble means you got punked. Know when the goddamn play is over.
Jeremy Ross fumbled for the Pack and they fired him, nice pickup.
Our Dee can keep us in the game only when the O keeps them in the game. Once the other teams sniffs weakness our Dee loses confidence.
At least we found a return guy.

I don't need the internet to find Kate Smith! :-)

Whenever I hear about the "fat lady" singing, it's not some opera singer I remember, it's Kate Smith
    singing "God Bless America".

Looks like the Bears will win tonight and tie the Lions at 7-6. The Lions own the tiebreaker, but now they have to win everygame just to match the bears and don't fall a game behind them.

If these Lions lose the division with Matt Stafford playing every game and Bears and Packers using back up QB's for most of the season, Schwartz will and should be gone by presidents day,.........

we should steal McCown from the Bears in the offseason, so Stafford can have some competition.

Do you think having McCown on the sideline would somehow stop the perpetual buffoonery of the Lions giving away games?
