Lions Kool-Aid is flowing again.
I drank so much I need to whizz.
Detroit Lions release running back Jahvid Best | MLive.com
Smart move. The Lions gave him more than a fair chance to recover. Best seems like a great guy. This will save the Lions some cap room.
Jim Schwartz went 2-14 in 2009, 6-10 in 2010, 10-6 in 2011 and 4-12 in 2012. (Daniel Mears / Detroit News) The Lions’ Jim Schwartz ranks no better than the 21st-best coach in the NFL, according to Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com, and given the Lions 4-12 record in 2012, perhaps he’s right. Super Bowl coaches and brothers John Harbaugh of the Ravens and Jim Harbaugh of the Niners ranked third and eighth, respectively. The Patriots’ Bill Belichick took top honors, followed by the Giants’ Tom Coughlin. As for Schwartz, Prisco says: “He is 22-42 in his four seasons with the Lions, with just one winning season. That's not good enough. He is another one who coaches with swagger, but that sometimes spills over to the field. As a defensive mind, you would think his defenses would be better.” Prisco’s complete report is here. From The Detroit News:http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20130717/SPORTS0101/307170119#ixzz2ZYQBpLXT Geez , that aint good enough:
after this season...he'll be ranked about 26th............
15-1 and a trip to the Super Bowl ought to do it. If that happens...I'll drive to Boise and wash Drath's car.
Here's the important step to go 15-1: Detroit Lions sign WR Chaz Schilens, who had 28 catches for Jets last season | Fox News
They looked at Breaston, [good] L. Robinson[explosive before concussion] and that guy ?????? !

I read an article that said Suh came into camp in better physical shape than ever and that he is playing fantastic.
Shilens is 6'4" ran a 4.38, 40 at the combines and was drafted in the 7th rnd ! Dude must have bad hands.
J Oops. Sorry, fishy. I missed your post. But I think I read something like that elsewhere too. Either way, all he needs to do is to is realizing that the best way he can help his team is to focus all of his skill and energy on helping his team win.Much easier said then done, I guess. The Lions can change their image by winning but perhaps they first need to conduct themselves like winners to actually attain that status. I'm not entirely certain if they were on a gradual or fast track to achieving this, but they certainly were on said track. However it appeared to me that regardless, it seemed like it DID fall apart quickly in comparison to the time taken to gain respect. Suh and Schwartz started acting stupid on the field, then the offseason escapades of several of the team members, then back to the crappy image. I think this is a watershed year for them and that either way people will get a taste of where this team is heading the next few seasons. A 9-7 season would help a lot and I believe most people will be thrilled if they achieve 10 or more.
Look around and you'll see Fairley is looking very mean.
This Friday Ford Field Jets visit Lion can you dig ittt ?
When Boss Ross had that Defense playing well and we went to the P/Os he quit the next year. I'm sure Ford Sr. tried to change Ross style and that's why he left. Same for Joe Schmit. * Any way Jets have lost their way as they try to milk something from they're $8M QB. They brought in Gino Smith got rid of Shonn Greene the RB and still don't have a monster WR. But Ryan can inspire and coach Defense. We should have no problem with them. But Jets have been known to cheat and play dirty ! Lions should've strenghtened their Defense with new faces all over. But the Oline is a work in progress and maybe our only weak link. LBs don't seem to be very good playmakers but no team is perfect.

Bartell is out playing Slay, that's a good thing. ---RT--- !
