I'm personally excited to see a lot of 3 pointers being shot at league average rate.

Things that need to change ....
we were 29th in 3 pt shooting at 32.1%......
last in FT% at 67% and the only team to finish under 70%.
4th worst defense giving up 104.7 ppg

Improving 15 spots in all of these categories should result in at least a shot at the 8th seed.

Wait a minute...last time I saw that poster was when he scored 100 in a game.
Happened back in 1962...NBA was not very big back then...no TV for that game.

I think this should be an exciting year. Losing Stuckey and Charlie and Joe helps. And SVG has a plan.
Hopefully Dinwiddie will be reading soon.

Widdie and actor/comedian Robert Townsend are basically the same dude.

Not having to accommodate Stuckey and not having to think about CV any more are reason enough to get excited about this season.

From everything that SVG said so far, we won't be seeing the hydra this year either. That means no Josh Smith at the 3. That's another good thing.

I fully expect this year's team to do much better than last year's team. I suspect we'll still finish sub .500, but around 35-40 wins.

Fo sho! I like Stuckey but since he needed the ball and he couldn't shoot, he wasn't much of a net benefit for the other guys. The team worked against itself and if that happens other teams will steamroll you once they get clicking which is what happened a lot. In fact, it was the same with Jennings and Bynum. Neither could be counted on for defense. Everyone needed the ball. No one helped space the floor.
Even with Bynum and Jennings on the roster, SVG has signed guys so that they don't need to see the floor if they aren't going to contribute to the whole.

For those out of towners who choose not the get NBA LP, the Pistons have three nationally televised games scheduled.....all on the road and we won't have to hear any negative analysis from Barley's TNT group and of course we are not ready for prime time >>>ABC

Pistons at Kings 12/13 on NBA TV
Pistons at Hawks 1/19 on ESPN ..on MLK day
Pistons at Bulls 4/3 on ESPN

The national TV audience will be inundated with the two LA team teams as the Clippers make 32 appearances and the last seasons 27 win Lakers make you guessed it ....27 appearances??

Our first string may not set the world on fire, but I think we should have good depth. That will help in back-to-backs.

So what you're saying is that so far, SVG has deployed a quantity over quality strategy.

Lots of singles. No extra base hits. It may be a good first year strategy.
