Clearly the Heat need Carmelo Anthony if they expect to be successful. You really need to have four superstars these days to be a championship contender.

I think if they can bring in Melo, the next logical step would be to go after Rodney Stuckey.

If some alien dude from another planet landed on Earth and asked me how basketball is meant to be played, I'd just show him a recording of the Spurs' last two games.

It would be cool if the alien dude would share the recording with the new Pistons' staff.

The Heat still lack a real pg......They have, James, Wade and Chalmers trying to play the role and yeah it got them to the finals four years in a row, but eventually it was going to catch up with them.

Melo is targeted to help with the scoring, but there won't be enough balls on the court for Wade and Bosh to get chance to dribble. Not sure if any of our ball hogging guards orther than Siva would help them out. Will,I am going to get mine and Crash Stucccco and wild shooting Jennings would make them worst.

The one thing I never found myself asking during these games is I wonder what Jeff Bowser would do here?

In third quarter of last nights game he played all five positions and scored 19 points on 7/8 shooting, ....his defense was terrible as he allowed the Spurs to score 26 points.

If only the other guys on his team would have gotten off the bench they could gave have put a dent in that half time lead.

Offensively, that's what exactly he's been playing in his career.

With the Heat mailing in the last game, after a decent lead,
I just don't see Melo being the one to keep LeBron in Miami.
    Something's gotta give...or at least...somebody's gonna leave.

Maybe that guy Winnersville knows something already. :eyebrows:

This is a freakin' thing of beauty. The Spurs putting on a clinic. Manu in the 2nd quarter was brilliant.

Ginobli was drafted 57th in the 1999 draft. Was that brilliance or luck from the Spurs?

Both. This organization has a culture and eye for talent and how the parts fit in whether superstars or role players. They are tough to beat when everything clicks, even from a team of superstars. It's scary what they have in an emerging Leonard and others that are coming in the pipeline.

Congratulations to the two Spurs players born in Southern California Kahwi Leonard and Austin Day for winning their first NBA championship rings. One of them won the Finals MVP and the other MVBP (most valueable bench player).

Leonard and Patty Mills (the modern day Mike James from 2004) will both be there 5 years from now when the Spurs win their 7th ring.

As soon the Spurs took the lead in the second quarter, I called game!!......No one for the Heat showed up other than James and he ran out of gas. Bosh scored the first 2 buckets of the second half, but by then the Spurs were up by a bunch....somewhere between 15 and 50!. When Bosh finally came out, he hugged everyone like it was his last game in a Heat uniform. The team looked old and reminded me of the 2007 Lebron Cavs vs the Spurs.

Impressive victory for the Spurs. Does the Bowser/SVG combo remind anyone of Pop and RC Buford?

A Finals loss like this just might break up the Heat. Wade looks old and broken down.

    WALTER AVATAR BUMP BABY!

This was a great 5 game sweep of the Heat. Other than game 2, this entire series was a no contest. Good luck trading Moose for the newly crowned (and well deserved) finals MVP Leonard. All the Spurs showed humility in their post-trophy interviews. This really reminded me of the '04 Pistons victory over the star-studded Lakers.

Congrats to the Spurs. What an incredible run.

I think this is the year the Pistons turn their 2nd round pick into a Manu Ginobli type player.

The Pistons are going to have a huge leg up on the rest of the league when it comes to evaluating college talent thanks to having ex-Marist head coach, Jeff Bowser, on board.
